I ordered a beef short rib dinner and my total was 32 dollars . The beef short ribs were soft and tender but I only got one piece of meat. Uptown barbecue is not the same anymore the food tasted better back in the day. But overall the meal was still tasty. The mac n cheese had some kind of spice in it. These meals are simple and easy to make at home.

When there was NO line; I should have known_there was an issue. However, I ignored _that_ "red flag;" I went in anyway.

The food had my car smelling like _Lighter Fluid_ by the time I made it about 50ft away. Yet & still; I kept it.
Lighter Fluid smell usually means UNDER COOKED.
Surely enough the chicken was not done.
Also, "GLORIA" must have given them that
WACK-A-RONI & Chz. too; because she DEFINITELY gave them the Greens.
Its SAD to say : "WE" just_are NOT_ the people we once were.🤦🏾♀️🙌🏾😫
But🤷🏾♀️ THATS what *I* get for going somewhere to get something to eat. I KNEW BETTER!! I KNEW "WE" cant cook anymore, & I had BEEN STOPPED trying these fake "SOUL"_ food restaurants ---- because---
"WE" just AINT the same no more. On SO MANY LEVELS. EVERYBODY just wants to CUT corners& hurry up & HALF DO everything..
Meanwhile, you have to have a HEART to cook "SOUL" FOOD...because a RIGHT HEART wouldnt ALLOW you to sell ppl some MESS that you just SLAPPED together. That's the SOUL part.

I had Uptown BBQ for Mother's Day, ribs, fried chicken wings, mac and cheese, and bake beans, and I don't have any complaints. Uptown has great customer service and good portion sizes. They have the best BBQ Sauce, which is finger licking good!!

I ordered the rib tips dinner and collared greens what happened? Did they changed owners? I couldn’t believe it I use to love there rib tips now it tastes like lighter fluid or something on the tips I will never come back I’m so upset ! Miss the good old days of good food

(0 Stars) Word of advice, do not eat here. This is a hair that was in my food and also IN MY MOUTH. Not only was the food not good, it was cold and made me sick. I am reporting !

Very good bar-b-que sauce on old stale food that was barely warm. No hot fries and raw cold chicken wings. They should just sell the sauce because the food ain't no good and the meat taste like wood

My fried catfish smelled like it was sitting out way too long before it was cooked. Mac n cheese and yams were decent, but I had to throw the fish out. Never again.

I haven't been here in year's. The food is still Delicious. I had the rib tips, mac&cheese, yams and green beans. It was Worth the price!
