Taylor waited on us, we ordered 2 bottles of wine and a cheese platter that was to die for. On my way out she assisted me in choosing 3 wonderful bottles of red wine. The staff is very well informed and helpful. The ambience is terrific. I live in Connecticut, but if I lived in the area this would be my new hang out. I love that all tips are donated to charity. My daughter, who does live locally, says she is going to join the wine club. 3 bottles each month for $45. I highly recommend this place.
The Royce is the best! A friendly neighborhood establishment that is both wine (and assorted house-hold gifts) shop and bar. You can pop in and purchase a bottle(s) to go or for a small corkage-fee, to stay and sip in the cozy confines of the amazing space. As a bonus, The Royce offers delicious meats, cheeses and other scrumptious snacks. Plus, the staff is knowledgeable, fun and always smiling. It is a welcome addition to the neighborhood and the city of Detroit.
Expansive wine list, tasty charcuterie located in a beautiful space with a wonderful atmosphere. A great place for your first stop of the night...or if you are up for a relaxing light dinner.

My husband and I stopped in yesterday. They have their free wine tastings 530-7. Had 3 samples. Good wines. We then went to "bar" ordered a flight of three wines and a cheese selection. Half moon...amazing! Thanks to our knowledgeable employee! She also made great wine selections. We got 1 bottle. Everyone was very friendly. Love the atmosphere. Well def be back & my husband isn't even a big wine drinker!
You have to try to understand how nice is this place. And it's not only the place, it's everything. The wine list is huge, you are sure to find what you love and many other that you can discover and love too. The decoration is awesome, very detailed, with a lot if love and attention bring for the customer. And also, the team and the owners are like the rest, Awesome.

We stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon. The Royce has a great atmosphere and selection. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend it!

We had a work event here, where we did a tasting and had cheese and charcuterie to snack on, which was fantastic.
Yesterday we went to The Royce with my fiance and parents for my mother's birthday. The man working was helpful in recommending a bottle of wine and we paid the $10 corkage fee to open it there. He was very friendly and casual. When he heard it was my mother's birthday he poured a small glass of champagne for the four of us so we could toast. We will definitely be back!
Excellent selection, service, and atmosphere! There is beer and small cocktail selection for those non wine drinkers! Great appetizers to keep satisfy food cravings.

Usually our Sunday spot for a couple of casual glasses of wine and some charcuterie. We've also purchased an occasional bottle of wine as well. The place itself reminds me of a wine library, it's very cute.
Absolutely wonderful! We stopped in for some wine, and were offered some amazing suggestions from Ping! The red we ended up selecting was so good, and had a wonderful spice after note. The atmosphere was welcoming with hints of urban and boho decor. We arrived later in the night during a private party, but we received wonderful care. Ping went above and beyond to ensure we felt cared to and comfortable. 110% recommend and cannot wait to go back!
Home away from home. We've always been given great guidance when looking for a wine to enjoy in store or take home. They have a delicious snacks, including great charcuterie. The overall vibe is super chill and a great way too spend a few hours.
Great selection of wines and accompanied food. Coming from Germany where European wine is quite affordable it is a costly adventure. Nevertheless, I can recommend it very much. Great service! Try the truffle brie!
Great Downtown Detroit wine bar. Features light fare, pretty spectacular cocktails and a wide range of wines. Personable and knowledgeable staff. Intriguing monthly wine club with unique pairings. Most wines seem to be from smaller vineyards and are a true treat.
