Review Ojeda's Mexican Restaurant - DeSoto

This place is delicious! Our fajitas were really good, I wasn’t a fan of the salsa; too bland and not enough spice, rice and beans were good. We had some sopapillas for dessert and they were great! Our server was friendly and quick, I can’t remember his name. Definitely a place to stop at if you’re in the area!

This restaurant is a great stop if you are looking for authentic, home style mexican food. The sour cream enchiladas are a very excellent choice, and the queso and chips appetizer is a great option to cater the food. The wait staff is excellent and always attentive when it comes to serving and checking in on your table. Will be back for more good food and great times.

Wonderful food and service. We had a large group and the restaurant was already full,but the staff got us in and took care of us. Great experience, will be coming back.

These place gets 5 stars from me because it is my perfect little getaway 🥰 I have never had an issue here with anything. Food is very good,even though I have only had the nachos.😋 I have tried small bites of other things and always tasty. Even better however are the DRINKS! They will get you right 😉 You will definitely have an awesome time, at this place. Its cool, family oriented, chill atmosphere, and great service!

This place is really good and great customer service. They make you feel WANTED there. They also have daily specials and if I’m not mistaken $4 margaritas on Wednesday? Oh the best home made salsa! Ask for the hot one!! I’m really hard too please by the way! Keep up the good work you guys!!

Beef fajitas and shrimp were amazing I definitely recommend this place was seating fast and food came fast and blazing hot. Made me a surf and turf taco.

Got a puffy taco dinner & a lunch special. Charra beans instead of rice. It was all delicious! I'm a huge puffy taco fan & these were super yummy - tasty meat & not really greasy. The waitress was really excellent too - efficient & helpful. Pleasant but not in your face! Clean environment. Loud but we could still hold a convo. Was really an excellent dining experience. Thanks!!

The small chicken tortilla soup was delicious and more than enough for me. I couldn't finish the whole bowl! Loaded with fresh chicken breast!

This is my spot!! I even have a waiter..Lalo is the best waiter ever..the food is delicious, margaritas are the bomb, and the service is the best!! I have been coming here since my high school days!!

a used to be good resteraunt has gone to shit over 6 or more people gratuity rule where everybody gats a seperate check but they charge 20% on each check which is bull shit and i will never go back to that place. I think we should build a wall around that mexican rip off joint.Im giving it 1 star because this is the only way i can rate it and it is a minus 1 star

On Sunday, May 21st, there were three of us and the food arrived at our table very fast after placing order. We love their food and hot sauce, never a bad experience. I am surprised reading all of the negative comments. Twice in the last two months my husband and I were going to eat there, but the parking lot was full & cars circling thru trying to find a place to park. We went somewhere else. Adding 20% tip issue with parties more than 6 people: Based on friends & family that have worked in the restaurant industry, people in large groups tend to not tip very well. Sundays are the worst. The next time you go out to eat, ask your server who are the worst tippers.

My Mother and I ate a late lunch at the DeSoto location. The food was OK - nothing special - tasty and hot. When I lived in the Oak Lawn area I ate at the Maple Street location frequently. The food to me seemed to be much better than the DeSoto location. I would eat here again and give it a second chance.

Always great food and service. Love our server Irma. This was my husbands favorite place to eat.

It was Cinco De Mayo they should have had more drink specials. The $5 margarita was good and small. Enchiladas were hot and good. More specials would have made it even better. The mariachis played mostly outside, so we didn’t get to here but one full song. Great idea it just needs to be planned better.

Everything is good!!! Food came and was still hot enjoyed it....never had a bad experience...waiter and or waitress treated me very nice... Will be going back....

This place was great at one time. That time has passed. Pathetic. They've raised prices and lowered the quality of food. Will not return.

We were very disappointed last Friday. The meal was cold and not fully cooked. The waiter just shrugged. We won't be back.

The customer service was horrible they sat me a booth that was wet and I didn't realize it until my dress was wet behind the waitress came to the table only when we called her over the food was alright but I have had better and the manager hollowed at me,call another manager Tony able an he(JOE HUERTA) wave of off screw this place I won't be going back.

Fantastic Meltdown Margaritas! Most of the food is really good. Still some I haven’t tried yet though. Good service. Long wait time as normally packed on weekends.

Soooo good. Best server there is Irma. The food is incredible but the service is what brings us back.
