Coming here for a first time visit and leaving incredibly satisfied. The wait staff is very nice and helpful, giving us good recommendations for all the different kinds of food on their menu. Don't let the outside of this place fool you. Huge portions and paying the right price for what you get sets
Nice restaurant with good food and Austrailian theme. Good steak selection. Mellow atmosphere. Tucked back in a corner. This place has been around a long time and for good reason. We had an Aussie dip and prime rib on this visit. Very delicious.
Good food with great prices! The waitress was GREAT! She was very attentive and was very quick with refills and accommodating with our little guy who has special needs and diet restrictions. She even spoke a little sign language with him. We will definitely be back to bring our other boys. Our food

Wonderful service, and great food! Try the Sydney steak sandwich, as it is not to be beat. They make an good avocado ranch in house, and their staff knows it's business. Very attentive, and just an all around great place to spend some time. If you're in s hurry they can be quick too thougb.
Restaurant and bar is little bit on smaller side. If you like cozy Cheers type setting this is place for you. Has delicious food everything we've had there is amazing. Waitresses are very attentive to each of their tables. You wont be disappointed from time walk in the door until you leave they make
The people alone make Down Under a great place to go. The bartender Kristen has an amazing personality and lights the place up when she's there. Of course the food is excellent, too. I had pizza last time I was in - great crispy crust.

Great food and affordable. The tuna steak salad is excellent and the lemon pepper wings the best I've ever eaten! Great service too, warm and friendly. Love that it is locally owned and operated.
First time customer. Pub food - neighbor hood kinda place. Had a Turkey Club sandwich with fries on marble rye bread . Really good . Service was excellent too

Certainly an off the beaten path restaurant, tucked back behind a few other restaurants of well-known status in Des Pere and Kirkwood. Down under is a very family friendly atmosphere with just enough TVs to keep you up-to-date, but not so much that you forget to have a conversation at dinner. 3 boys
Found Down Under on accident after driving around for a place to stop for lunch last fall. I love their chili and plan to return time and again for it. A great little place without too much hustle and bustle; just how I like to spend meals.

Pleasant pub-type restaurant. Sandwiches, burgers, salads, uncomplicated entrees, and a nice variety of dinner beers and drinks. Good atmosphere, great wait-staff.
