I had the most tender steak that I've had in a long time. They've always had the best Italian salad. And we tried their bite size cherry cheese cakes. YUM! My husband had the Chicken Cologne. Melted in our mouths. So tender. Our waitress was so helpful, my coffee cup was always full. Welcome back RECCILLIS!

There was only one waitress available in the entire restaurant when we arrived. The Chicken Parmesan was too thickly breaded with a small amount of chicken breast meat underneath. The sauce tasted like it came from a can. The side salad was tiny. The side of spaghetti was tiny. The taste of the main course was blah, I've had better food at my child's school cafeteria. Our waitress did a commendable job waiting on 10 or more tables before another slower waitress finally showed up for work. The old lady running the place seating customers was grumpy. I give it 2 stars and not 1 only because of the waitress. Needless to say, we will never go back to this fossil of a restaurant.

We have been going there for year. My parents started when they first opened 40 years ago and I still go to this day. The food is fantastic. I especially love the NY Strip. The little plate of spaghetti is to die for. We call the atmosphere Dinner and a show. They have all worked together for years and argue. We love it. Also if they have the ham and bean soup get it. It's fantastic.

Our wait staff was Peggy and she did an excellent job serving. The restaurant didn't open until 11:20 a.m., even though it is supposed to open at 11a.m. The food was okay, but not exceptional. The food is a bit pricey. The restaurant hasn't been updated in years and could use a facelift. The absolute worst part is their bathrooms. There isn't a handicap stall and our party had three women that need a handicapped stall. My only other suggestion for staff is the woman at the front desk. A smile to your customers should be included when you greet customers. A big thank you to Peggy!!

The place used to be good it was our favorite place....they have changed things with their recipes lately, and so the pasta sauce is so watered down and does not taste very good any more. The service is not good either. Almost the entire time we where there, the employees where fighting and as a result I had to wait to get two refills over 10 minutes the first time, 15 minutes the second and it was almost empty restaurant. I will not be returning (98% sure). Too bad too. It was my favorite before. Now everything tastes so much different and the prices have gone up. :( Bring back the old recipes and take care of your customers please for them to return)....the only thing that was still good was the onion rings and the cherry Pepsi...when I finally got it....

Ate here tonight . So good! We experienced prompt service, great attention from waitress, nice quiet atmosphere, enjoyed good food: Steak DeBurgo, Veal Parm with all the sides and awesome Onion Rings! All of these not easy to find these days! A forgotten gem in Des Moines :( Encouraging folks to give them another chance.

Worst service I have ever had. Plan on spending hours to eat because it takes forever. The owner is a grouchy old lady. She has no respect for her staff or the customers. It was so cold in this place you might want to bring a sweater or two to wear. The locks in the bathroom do not latch. I am sure this place is breaking a lot of health codes. It smells like cigars in there.
