La Pizza House

Really enjoy this place but things are weird now. Closing early. Running out of food. Rude/very abrupt conversations on the phone. No dine in option. Phone number here goes to a personal voicemail box. Covid has been crazy but there's no excuse for such poor behavior of late. Here's hoping they get back to normal asap.

Our server was nice, but forgot to put in orders and was taking care of every other table but us. She kept forgetting things. Forgot to put in one of our pizzas, charged us for it, and the manager was rude about taking it off. The server kept telling us it was coming out, we waited for 25 minutes! Finally, we went up to the counter and the cook told us that because we weren’t paying for it he wasn’t going to make it and pulled it from the oven, he didn’t even tell our server he did it. Our server was nice, but the cook and the manager were rude and had terrible customer service skills. So I hope this tells you how our experience was and that you just lost a family that has been going there since they opened. 0/10! Consider this a response to the message you just sent: your information is the one that is ACTUALLY FALSE. We did talk to our server more than once about the issue. First we found out she charged us for the pizza originally, and if you want proof, I got it! After that, she came over because the manager wouldn’t come talk to our table after we asked for them more than once. My aunt heard the manager yell, “I’ll take it off” after she was reluctant to do so. Prior to that our server said she would use her own tip money to refund us for the one pizza. After it got taken off, she came over and asked us if we still wanted the pizza, even though we had it taken off the bill, and we said yes. BECAUSE it should have come and didn’t because the order didn’t get put in. When this happens, I work in the food service industry, we take the food that was missing off the bill, but still bring it to the table. We waited and waited and she kept going to other tables. We asked her if it was coming and she said yes. At this point we went to the counter to ask if our pizza was coming. This is when the cook or maybe manager, said that “he pulled it from the grill, because we refused to pay for it” all four of us heard it, so that’s four against one there! We were dumbfounded and said we were gonna leave a bad review and never return. As we left, some woman was yelling, WHILE EVERYONE WAS EATING, “That’s not my fault!” And then she started laughing, I hope other people walked out on you tonight. You guys really deserve it and have put this business to shame!

Fair pizza, they used to have good Italian food. Not so much now. Their ribs leave a lot to be desired, like a decent price, and good taste. Sandwiches would be ok, if they used bread that was made this year. Their iced tea is pretty good though. The wait staff is way too good to be working in a place like this.

The pizza might be great. I wouldn't know. I came in with my father who said a lot of people claimed this pizza was quite good. I had never heard of it and had my reservations considering it's on the same road as all the meat packing plants but willing to give it a try. Then, came the worst customer service I've ever experienced in a restaurant setting. While standing in the middle of the restaurant, with more than one table available, we stood for about 10 minute awkwardly standing. When asking if we could seat ourselves we were barked at by a server that she would get to us when she could. The messed up part is she could have just said "Yeah, no problem seat yourselves and I'll be with you shortly" and we would have waited patiently. Long story longer. We went to Scornovacca's and were glad we did. (Btw, online pictures of the restaurant are not accurate. It's basically a bar with tables in the middle of it.)

Popped in there for an early dinner (around 5) and the was no waiting..quick on the drinks and appetizers..and the pizza came in good time as well(ordered 2 combo pizzas). VERY GOOD. Love the thick cheese and that hot sausage. That's what hot was MEANT to be. Only reason not to give 5 stars....decore,decore,decore... I WILL be back.

Worst customer service by the owner himself! 3rd time our order was wrong and on the 3rd time he refused to make another pizza when it was for our littles girls that were starving and we drove 40 minutes to get there. Not the waitresses fault but always the owner. We had to leave because we can’t eat in front of our children and not feed our children. We came in for a family dinner. Seriously the worst customer service ever from here on out we will give our business to Abbie’s in bodurant.
