Had breakfast 🥞 with the kids this morning and had the corn beef hash—with over easy eggs. This is the best one I’ve likely ever had. And the over easy eggs 🍳 were just the right runny consistency. The kids loved the mickey pancakes and scrambled eggs (2 different orders). And we got to ask for French fries as a little side for the kids—which was just perfect.

No doubt there's been a lot of talk of all the new places in town with many posts about the experiences. While these new places are always a welcome to what is already a fantastic dinning scene in downtown Denville, we can't forgot about the Denville landmarks that are just as awesome. Today's breakfast outing was to the Denville Diner, located at 17 Broadway pretty much smack dab in the center of downtown Denville. When going out for breakfast with two teenagers, you really don't have to be to concerned about waiting in lines because by the time we actually got out the door, the crowds were gone and we only waited for a few minutes before sitting down. Whenever I go for breakfast, a great way to start off the meal is the time it takes to sit down, have a server get the drink order in, until how long it takes to sip my coffee and will say Denville Diner did a great job! The menu had a great choice of lunch and breakfast choices and they even get extra points for their "plant based" menu options that were available. To set the record straight, I'm a meat and potatoes guy, but happy to see these options are available for my daughter. We stuck with breakfast and had the 1+1+1+1 (Frenchtoast, pancake, egg and sausage - instead of the sausage, they accommodated an egg swap without any hassle), the chocolate chip pancakes and a side of bacon, and the Spicey Omelet (Chicken sausage, jalapenos, roasted peppers and mozzarella cheese) with some whole wheat toast. The food was prepared quickly and was fresh and tasty and the service was good. A refill on the coffee was poured which also makes for a great dinning experience. Overall, it was a great meal and a great reminder to support all the local businesses in town. Not sure how long they have been around, but they are definitely worth visiting when looking for a great breakfast spot. I left full and satisfied and that is always a win in my book.

Decided to get breakfast at Denville Diner BEFORE church today. Mom’s got the Lemon Ricotta Blueberry pancakes while I have Scott’s World-Famous corned beef hash. We definitely love this place... it has been a go-to after church for years. The daily specials never disappoint. Never a bad meal. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. They remodeled in 2020, nice update. Staff has always been friendly and courteous. One of the best in Morris County. UPDATE (Jan 2022): Still amazing, have to try the Burger pop-up at night during the week… can’t wait!

We usually are out and about in Morristown, but wanted to check out Denville for breakfast. The diner is on the Main Street it’s small but has a great vibe, the atmosphere is small town America with where regulars come in and the 2 Hosts or owners know you. The food is outstanding the Apple French-toast was not soggy with syrup and had an upscale look and taste, coffee was fresh and plentiful. I would definitely recommend it, and the only reason not 5 stars is the little surcharge for noncash transactions which doesn’t make sense.

Their menu is classic breakfast food, everything you would crave for a hearty breakfast. I loved my meal, had a very friendly waitress, the food came very fast actually, and it was a very reasonable price, prices that don’t exist elsewhere anymore!

Okay, I know there is an endless supply of diners her in NJ. But this one holds its own among the rest. With classic and creative dishes at an affordable rate I have never had a bad meal here! Their French toast made with thick challah bread is definitely a star on their menu. I also just love how they have been able to update and modernize the dinning room while keeping so classic retro diner elements. 98/100 PS: follow my Instagram @sams_spots for more reviews

It's probably the best diner on morris county, very consistent quality and elite service. Great spot and very family-friendly. Scotts Hash is fantastic, and Jersey Benedict is a must try

It has been a while since my last visit. Years actually. They changed the interior since my last visit. Basic Bacon and Eggs breakfast for me that hit the spot. Seated, Served and I was on my way. I would go back.

We eat here all the time. My husband loves the corned beef hash and their challah French toast is delicious, no matter what fruit/topping comes with it. The "cream" topping is cream cheese based, so I usually get the cream on the side to see if I like it or not. Service is good. They always remember us. It's absolutely kid-friendly. We have 3 kids under 7, including a newborn and they are always beyond accommodating. The staff is very friendly! Bacon always come out super crispy, which is one of our favorites.
