Thatcher Mcghee's

Thatcher McGhee's is always consistent, food is very good, especially their monthly specials, and reasonably priced. I had the special Chicken Murphy with Shiner's Holiday Cheer on draft (my favorite holiday beer), wife had her usual corned beef sandwich, substituting a fresh salad for the French fries which normally come with the meal. We are always pleased with the food and especially the service.

I recently went here for lunch, and the food that we ordered off of the "Traditional Irish" menu was phenomenal! The server we had, Michael, was so friendly and welcoming, greeting us with a big smile! He was super attentive and friendly through our entire lunch visit! The food came out fast, hot, and delicious! The prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food that you get, for sure! If you haven't been here yet, try it!

Went to Thatcher McGhee’s for dinner on a Wednesday night with my family. There were a decent amount of people in the “dining room” and the bar looked pretty full. It he services was great and our food came out fast dispute the number of people there. The taste of Ireland was delicious. They give you a good portion of shepherds pie, chicken pot pie, Guinness stew and bangers with a scone on top. (See picture in clock wise order) All of the food came out piping hot and stayed hot while we were eating, no one like a cold dish. Everyone else I was with also liked their dishes. Definitely a good place if your feeling something Irish or for a good hearty meal!

Absolutely loved the interior, decor, and atmosphere. We had appetizers for our meal that we shared. We tried a sampler that had wings, tator tots, chicken fingers, and a pretzel. We also had the fries that came with cheese and caramelized onions and a side of gravy. Everything was hot and fresh. I don't know that I would get the fries again, as a personal preference it felt like there were too many large onions, but the gravy and cheese were delicious. I'm eager to try actual meals here soon!

Overall not too bad of a spot. Nice large bar and multiple rooms to dine in. Food was pretty good but I think the service is lacking a bit which might be because they are understaffed. It might be too much for the server and I know they are working hard. If you done here, factor in time because it is bit on the slow side.
