We were just visiting the area for the afternoon and wanted to get some dinner before we left. I just googled best restaurant near Lake Norman and Chillfire. All staff was happy to accommodate and friendly . The food was prepared exceptionally well. We had shrimp cocktail, prime rib , trout , the sides were the grits and the truffle fries. All items were PERFECTLY prepared. My boyfriend ordered a dirty martini and it was the perfect combination of ingredients . I had the white cranberry/ lemon martini which was very refreshing.
The manager came around and seems very caring that we had a great time . Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Excellent atmosphere and the food was prepared as ordered, came quickly enough, and was very tasty! Best part of the experience was the staff, especially our server, Jonothan. By far the best server we’ve ever had, anywhere! Highly recommended. You will not be disappointed!
Denver's little gem. Their filet mignon is on par with the best restaurants on the East Coast. I'm not a fan of the tomato/onion mix in the ceasar salad, but they happily remove on request. Always a great meal!
I can't even believe this is currently rated a 3.5. It just goes to show the risk of putting a fine dinning experience in Denver, nc. I thank you for it. The food here is outstanding. My wife and I went for our 15th Anniversary and had a great time with an excellent meal. Folks this about as good as you are going get...any where in the country. My wife had the Ahi tuna and I had the smoked chicken. Good. Good local beer. Mozzarella appetizer. good. Desert. ..cheesecake and peanut butter pie. good. I have had better peanut better pie but this was still very good. It is pricey but you won't be disappointed. We spent $100. Our server was excellent...best I have had in sometime. I always rate the food so I give it a 4.5. My only real negative is its in a strip mall although you don't notice that while you are inside. And I dont recall a special or seasonal menu. Where normally at a place of this caliber the special is actually special. Nicely done Chillfire.
We have dined at Chillfire many times. The service is always terrific and the prime rib is one of the best. I have tried a number of things on the menu that I would not order normally because we feel so comfortable.
My husband and I have eaten at numerous upscale restaurants
in Charlotte, NC and have not been overly impressed. Fortunately today
(Father's Day) we discovered a phenomenal restaurant in Denver, NC called
Chillfire Bar & Grill. The food was absolutely wonderful and the service
was great (Thanks Lauren!). We had the fried lobster tails and crab dip as
appetizers and they were delicious. If you
love seafood, I strongly recommend the crab cakes as your main dish. My
husband had more of the fried lobster tails for his main course. Yes, they were
that good. Our side dishes were just as wonderful (spinach salad, broccoli and
cheese, baked sweet potato). To top everything off, we had their coconut cake.
All I can say is wow. It was the best cake that I have tasted in years. In
short, I was more than impressed to say the least. Thank you to the management
and staff of this fabulous restaurant! We will be returning to your
establishment soon!
Favorite New Place!. Just what Denver was missing...upscale sophistication, exceptional food and great service. We have become regulars and enjoy the many different entrée options and high quality. The staff and owners always make us feel welcome and we look forward to many return visits!
Thanks to Chillfire for another fabulous large group dinner suggestion. We are very pleased to have Chillfire in Denver!!
New Fav. Our first visit to Chillfire last night and we will definitely be back! The whole experience was flawless....greeted by friendly, upbeat staff that treated us like they appreciate our business and enjoyed their job.
Great wine selection, loved the Shanghai shrimp appetizer and my husband was moaning with pleasure everytime he took a bite of his "Chillfire Golden Ribeye". My Tenderloin Brochette was cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back :)
Great food, Great atmosphere. We were greeted by the front end, made to feel like regulars. Managers and owners mingled and made their presence known. The food was superb and the service was appropriate. We had several drinks and the server was very attentive to our glasses getting low. We will return and may just become regulars!
Wonderful addition to the west side of the lake.
Fantastic Place. I have gone several times and have recommended Chillfire to friends. All of us have loved it. The food is excellent. The drinks are excellent. Management and servers are very attentive, the desserts and salads are huge, and it is a beautiful place inside. The atmosphere is great for a night out or for just hanging out after work. Cannot say enough good things about it!
Welcome Addition to the West Side of the Lake. From the same folks who brought you the Epic Chophouse in Morresville comes Chill Fire. Went for the first time tonight and it's a welcome addition to the West Side of Lake Norman.
Offers valet parking but chose to park myself. When I walked up to the door, I was promptly greeted by a number of friendly folks. I was promptly seated at a table by the window although being a single dinner, I expected to be steared to a seat at the bar. No problem with the table. Menus were presented and beverage orderes taken in record time.
I chose the fiery lobster from off of the appetizer menu and the golden ribeye with the cottage fries as my entree. Turned out to be excellent choices. The fiery lobsters are four lobster tails that are deep fried in a spicy oil served with a spicy dipping sauce. I order the Ribeye medium rare and the Cottage Fries were cooked with a generous amount of garlic which made for an excellent compliment.
Everything was cooked exactly like I ordered and serving sizes tend to be a bit on the large size. I was not uncommoon to see a number of "doggie" bags leaving the restaurant.
While the menu is simliar to Epic, biggest difference that I could tell is that Chill Fire has a more casual clientel.
As you can probably tell, I think the wait staff is excellent and I have no complaints about them.
The decor is very interesting and at first hard to get your hands around because elemets appear so familiar but different at the same time. As I looked over the main dining room and bar, it came to me that it reminded me of the Rain Forest Cafe in Disney in Florida but in a modern industrial setting. There is a side room which picks up on the beaten tin ceilings found at Epic in Mooresville that date back to the early 1900's. There is also an expansive outside dinning area with Ceiling Fans that remind me of the Bombay Bicyle Club days of old.
Good food and while it's may seem a bit pricy, it'w well within line with other fine dining establishments. Service is great and it's a very relaxing atmosphere.
Will definately be back.
What a wonderful meal. Service was excellent. Never had a bad experience and really always look forward to are next visit..
Its a little strange that some menu items can only be ordered from the bar, but the staff graciously accommodated our request
Decor is minimalistic, which I kind of appreciate. Bathrooms clean and well stocked. Only small complaint was music volume.
Our first time was nothing short of spectacular. Waitress was nice and informative, order was correct and prompt. The steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly, baked potato hash was great. With a side of Tuna Steaks, the Colorado Plate was outstanding. Can't wait to come back and try more things!
Had a fantastic experience with Chillfire. About 3 weeks before my wedding, I had to change our rehearsal dinner to a new space. Anthony and Tom were incredible and so helpful. They answered all my questions in a timely manner and made sure we had absolutely nothing to worry about day of. All our guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was and how everything came out at the perfect time. Not only would I recommend Chillfire as a restaurant to dine in with, I would 100% recommend them for any private parties, wedding rehearsals etc. Great spot! We will definitely be frequent customers.
The food was delicious. Great atmosphere for sure. The servers was outstanding.
Wow! What a great experience! Food, service, music, half price wine on Monday... perfect for a birthday and anniversary. They even have us cards and a candle in my dessert. We're definitely returning.
We decided to stay close to home but still wanted to celebrate our anniversary with a nice evening out so we selected Chillfire. I can honestly say we were not disappointed! We did have a reservation but still had a short wait, honestly we didn't mind we had great conversation with some other waiting guests. The staff were all very friendly, very polite and accommodating. Once seated we were greeted by our wonderful waitress, placed our drink and appetizer order. They have a very nice wine selection on their menu which we enjoyed. Our appetizers and salads were brought out promptly and were very tasty. When the entrées arrived, it was very prompt... everything smelled, looked amazing and our steaks were cooked beautifully. We also decided to do dessert...Bread pudding with vanilla ice cream. We have been to Chillfire a few times now and have had a great experience each time. I would definately recommend this restaurant to others.
I took my wife to dinner here. I like the menu as it seems to have some good meal options. Very clean restaurant and very freindly staff. The food was good. I did accidently leave my credit card here, and called the next day to confirm that was the case. So glad it was there and was able to pick it up with no issues. I will likely visit again while staying in the area.
