Great sushi in a relaxed environment. Ordered the triple aburi and a bunch of rolls. The service was incredibly fast. The sushi is great and the cost is extremely reasonable. Parking is a bit of a challenge. Highly recommended for sushi in Denver.

The sushi here is out of this world! Would highly recommend!! I’m from Detroit and I would literally like to pick this sushi restaurant up and move it to Michigan - that’s how good it is!!!! The fish is perfection and the service was incredible. The servers have been so kind and the sushi came out incredibly fast. Can’t hype this place up enough!

They have an awesome happy hour! Would definitely recommend. all of the rolls we tried were amazing. Favorite was the spicy scallop and the eel roll! Very friendly staff as well.

The sushi here is the greatest I've ever had. All of the fish was of the highest quality and was prepared to melt in your mouth. The menu is extremely diverse, ensuring that there is a dish for everyone.
The food here is prepared with the highest care, and quality ingredients that surpass all other restaurants. The owners are Very kind and family-friendly individuals. The staff was extremely hospitable, incredibly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable, and they were able to assist me in making a smart selection for an incredible eating adventure.
Finest sushi I've had in Denver. We truly adore coming here and absolutely return when I visit Denver.

I moved here from California 7 months ago and I have been super picky about getting sushi in a land locked state. I saw the reviews for this place and was highly impressed so I decided to go there for lunch while I got my oil changed next door. Absolutely incredible sushi and service. I was super happy to find a place with so much variety for rolls and such good food. Can't wait to come back!

Today we enjoyed our second visit to Rocky Yama Sushi and I wish we could have found this place sooner!
The service at the restaurant is wonderful. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted genuinely by the staff. Our server, Luzee, was super kind and our food was fabulous. They catered well to my partner's gluten allergen as well. 10/10 would recommend to a friend

Our favorite neighborhood sushi spot. Been coming here regularly since it opened and always have a great experience. Staff is friendly and fish is fresh. One of the best sushi spots in town, and more reasonably priced than most.

I love the atmosphere at this restaurant! All of the servers were very friendly and our food arrived in a timely manner. My husband and I ordered so much sushi and everything tasted delicious. The art around the restaurant was very cute. We will definitely be returning here again :)

The decor here was awesome and the staff was all super friendly.
The rolls are all reasonable priced and the Sashimi was about the same.
Their presentation was awesome and all edibles were super fresh (lemons, Thai basil, etc)
We will be back again to try happy hour which I heard was only better!

Overall a decent sushi restaurant. Fish were fresh and the rice was super moist and delicious. They had an average menu selection to choose from. I went during lunch so there wasn’t a crowd, we were sat right away and taken care of immediately by the friendly staff.
We also ordered the fried rice and ramen. The ramen broth was just very salty, maybe it was sitting on heat too long it got salty. Fried rice is just as you expect from any good restaurant.
For a very slow afternoon, the restroom were not fully stocked. Both restrooms are unisex and one restroom did not have paper towels. Otherwise, everything was pretty clean and tidy.
The parking lot out back is very tight and a nightmare. They share their rear parking with Grease Monkey. You can also do street parking. This is all expected due to location of the facility.
4/5 stars for first time experience
5/5 for atmosphere and friendly staff
5/5 stars for sushi & fried rice
2/5 stars for the ramen
3/5 parking, that is to be expected downtown
Maybe I will give it another try in the future, but not something I’d go out of my way for.

I am absolutely FLOORED by the exquisite SERVICE, QUALITY, & ARTISTRY we experienced here. A group of us met up to celebrate my husband's birthday and the woman taking care of our table couldn't have made us feel more special. The selection of food is phenomenal and everything that arrived at the table was devoured with gusto!

Pretty good BiBimbap, it was crunchy and flavorful and delicious. Just what I needed on a cold day.
I only remembered to take a photo after I had already mixed everything. Definitely take your time to mix it all so you can get all the flavors in every bite.
There was lots of food leftover, so I heated it up in a skillet the next day with an egg fried over it and it was even better than the day before. Highly recommend.

Cool little spot! Service was prompt in the beginning and little slower through round 2, but overall pretty great experience. Will definitely be back. We had just missed happy hour and that may have been a value for everything we ordered. Sushi was a little thin in comparison to what I prefer, but again good. Not the largest variety of rolls that we've ever seen, but what they have they do well.

The sweet potato roll and veggie roll were just OK. The sweet potato roll had hard undercooked sweet potato.
The steamed dumplings were very tasty.

Absolutely favourite place to go! We live in 5 minutes from there, so when we think about getting sushi this is our place to go. The food is absolutely delicious and servers are always very welcoming and nice. Although, it’s sad that they close pretty early, even though they’re for sure busy right before closing. 5 stars, definitely best sushi in the neighbourhood!

Sushi in Denver is famously not so great, and often very over-priced. However, Rocky Yama is one of the best places I've found in the area! The happy hour here is amazing because there's a ton of options and at great prices. I especially enjoyed the Red Dragon roll. The staff were helpful and friendly, and our waitress made sure to ask us if we wanted to place any more orders before happy hour ended. It's a very good spot if you want a variety of sushi at an affordable cost.
