Went here on opening day for a drink to try and get this summer started and the vibe was perfect. An all glass wall made this all day cocktail lounge spot feel bright and airy. The decor had rich velvety textures with fun colors and clean soft wood lines.
My buddy and I got several cocktails and they were all well made with clean flavors and hit the spot on this pseudo summer day. The cocktail menu looked very creative and I’ll definitely head back to try some of the coffee drinks another day. My friend’s Pal V gin drink smelled and tasted amazing and my Charo bourbon drink was perfect with the lemon and ginger notes on a sunny afternoon. I followed it up with the We (don’t) Work which was a nice mix of tartness from the lemon and smoke from the Scotch.
We also tried the trio of stuffed buns (jamon & manchego, spinach/artichoke/chèvre, and smoked brisket) for $12 and the special King Crab filled bun. The jamon bun was cooked perfectly with the flavors coming thru vibrantly, the spinach one could have used a little more intensity from the chèvre, and the smoked brisket was very delicious. The king crab was definitely the standout. A little pricey at $12, but king crab isn’t cheap and it tasted like I was eating a lobster roll from Maine.
All in all a great meal and a fun addition to this part of town. I’ll definitely be back.

Walked in to grab a bite and beer, but they were packed. I didn't realize the 40 or so people up front were one party, just leaving so we were walking out when the waitress ran out after us and politely offered to seat us right away. It was nice she didn't let us leave with a misconception of it being too busy to accommodate us. They were super friendly, and hospitable. We ordered the fruit plate, but it was unavailable so we tried the cheese board. Wow, what a massive board. For your typical $15 for a cheese board, you get an absurd amount of awesome cheeses and crackers. We couldn't even finish it. Small dining area, but wonderful staff and excellent portions. We will return!

We dropped in one afternoon for drinks and to try the buns (we kept hearing so much about!) and were not disappointed. I had the mixed drink with hibiscus and it was amazing. We tried one of each of the buns and loved them all. Definitely a spot to check out in Denver, either as a Denverite or just passing through the city.

In search of a late lunch and air conditioning I landed here. Between a great drink and the sliders this was simply heavenly. The amount of food was perfect and the service was attentive. I was only in town for one night, but I hope to return again just for another taste of those sliders. 😁

Excellent! The interior is hip but comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most importantly, the food was so good. We had a plate of their signature buns, all of which were excellent and great for sharing and snacking over a cocktail. The tuna layer "dip" was also really tasty, tangy, and rich. Cocktails are also well made amd fairly priced. The negroni was great, and the manhattan with well liquor was OK (my fault for not specifying the spirit). For drink, food, or both, Dead Battery is great.

Great cozy little cocktail spot right on Platte street. The entrance is around the side of the WeWork building right by Denver Beer Company. They have seemingly lowered their cocktail/beer/wine prices since my first visit, and I thought everything was very reasonable priced now! The two takes on an Old Fashioned are both great, and they have what I would call a borderline speakeasy vibe and mixologist talent! The space is very small, but comfortable; think NYC feel.
There is also a relatively small food/dinner menu, which I have not had yet, but smells great! Since the space is so small, the food aroma can be very overpowering, but not offensive. They also make a great espresso at the bar with a very fancy espresso/barista machine!
Check them out - definitely worth dropping in!

Loved the music Random was playing this Sunday during lunch. Really suits the vibe and decor! Enjoyed my king crab carbon bun and my friend's tuna salad was delicious - and she's a hard lady to please! Will definitely be coming back to enjoy cocktails/happy hour and maybe bring my old nano to stick on the wall ;)

Dead Battery Club is a tucked away bar on the side of a building with awesome coffee and affordable food. Their "buns" take all sorts of shapes - bao, kolache, and burgers all come to mind. Try their 3 bun for $12 board - my boyfriend and I split this and it was a full meal! The cocktails are fun, many with coffee, and the ambiance is swanky and fun.

This place is wonderful. Samuel is a great bartender/host and their appetizers and drinks are amazing. Hoping to come back for dinner soon!

I haven’t been here yet and I guess accidentally reviewed DBC, but plan on stopping by today, so I’m sure it will be a great experience!

Awesome at night, but man are the buns in the morning something to get out of bed for. The Jamon and Manchego makes a morning happy.
