Amazing place, and the staff rocks! I have been a loyal patron of this bar because when you walk in you feel like family!!! And the owner is pretty amazing!!!
Cheap beer, good music, and no tvs to have shitty sports on.
I’ve been here a few times in the last year and was was just there on Halloween night (my friends have a yearly tradition to come here to pregame on Halloween) and this is by far the Best dive bar I have been too in Denver. The music is always bumping, bartenders are awesome and know how to make a strong drink. They have a nice bar area, a couple pool tables, and a nice outdoor patio. The location I think it perfect it’s right off of Colfax so you don’t have a lot of the riff raff passing by you would get at other places on Colfax. Also this one of the few bars in town that I feel comfortable in as a LGBT person. I wore a full on dress for Halloween (I was Medusa) and was actually complimented on how great the costume was by everyone. Gay and straight. All in all a great bar to go to with your friends and have a good time.
First off, I don’t like bars. a friend of mine took me here when I was house hunting back in April, and Tooey’s has definitely an exception for me.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, bartenders are amazing, and honestly anyone that was complaining about the price of drinks has obviously not been clubbing in a while 🤣
Finally, Tooey's is open again. A Denver staple located right off of Colfax. Unpretentious, welcoming, and spacious, Tooey's is an awesome spot to grab drinks with friends during the afternoon or evening. Conveniently less than two blocks from The Ogden, it's perfect for a few drinks after a show that won't break the bank. Great bartenders, generous pours, good music.
I was a local small business owner who owned his own home had great credit, then I met their Coin Dozer... it started as innocent enough, a quarter a dollar then a 20 then a hundred next thing I know I mortgaged my home and business and all I got out of it was a lighter leash. But it's a great bar.
This is such a great place. Its truly a bit "off" colfax but thats the appeal! Low key, eclectic interior gives off a very comfortable, "living room" kind of feel. Theyve got a billiards table and some pinball machines and often a DJ. Such. A. Great. Place.
What a cute little spot, this is... decor is mostly local artists spotlights, with rustic overtones. They had some old cartoons playing on a giant screen, something fun to glance at here and there. There was no live music when I was there, but they did have a small stage u derived the screen, so I imagine music plays on the weekend. I'll definitely be back to Tooey's in the future. On a side note, they only have 3 taps, but their can and bottle selection for beers was solid, and they had around a dozen options for bitters, so craft coctails are easily a go to, for this spot.
Great dive bar. Good company, cheap drinks, local art for sale.
Casual atmosphere with board games available. Themed decorations, cool bartenders, live music. Positive, relaxed atmosphere is really what sold me in the end.
Not what I was expecting.....at all. Good music, friendly staff and I would even rate the clientele high as well. Prices are to be expected. Definitely try this place at least once when you're in the area.
Yep it's hip, yep it's divey, but this place serves up a mean old fashioned at a great price and has a huge deck to enjoy it on. Plus their drink menu is a Sleep album cover, so that's a win.
