I have never, ever, had someone ask me how I would like my chicken livers cooked. The nice young lady at the counter asked me this and I was dumbfounded! These folks are serious. They really understand that livers are delicate and should be cooked with care.
Cooking with care. That's what you'll find at Trina's.
The highlight of the meal was the greens. Savory, smokey, tender. Just brilliant.
The catfish were seasoned perfectly, flaky and tender. The cornmeal crust was perfect.
We had the best fried chicken. Certainly better than any non-chain restaurant in the state.
The ribs could use just perhaps another half hour on the pit, but were very good. Maybe order them without the sauce so you can try the others at the table.
At home I added just a bit of fresh ground pepper, a pinch of salt and the Mac and cheese was lovely.
Also took home some greens. Finely chopped and added to wild rice. Oh boy, really good.
Oh, and I forgot to say, the chicken livers are the best I've found in Colorado.
Edit: Returned again for catfish. Just the best. Nicely seasoned. Took home some greens for a pot of beans and greens. Wow.
This was truly the best catfish I have had. It was not too salty or to crunchy. The two sides were seasoned very well. Tina's is now the go to for Soul food and more!
I was there for a funeral and my family had told me we were going to go there.when we got there they were about to close.we told them we are from Wi.They told us to sit down and order.Food was soooooo good i got the catfish dinner!!!
The combo meals are where it’s at. There’s plenty of food for two servings. The wings were crisp but super juicy & the rib tips had a delicious BBQ sauce. Both the Mac and okra were amazing too.
Fun Friendly atmosphere. Service was fast and the food was fresh. Drinks are very good and price is reasonable!
Food was excellent once again. I always enjoy stopping here when in town. Catfish and chicken dinner was great. Fish was properly cooked. Crunchy breading and fish flaky. Chicken was cooked well and very juicy. Beats any other fried chicken I have had. Sides really good too.

Excellent Food, Customer Service, Atmosphere, Music!!!!! Everything was amazing! Please please let the staff know they were amazing, nice, willing to help and most of all, very accommodating! Tony was my welcome man the morning of the celebration, extremely helpful and considerate. Storm and Angela was Excellent customer service, helped make my celebration memorable. My guest made comments like, "it is rare to find customer service like this." Wait staff was very on point! The food was prepared and presented well. The entire staff was extremely supportive and made the night so enjoyable. The DJ -BK Express played jam after jam, everyone enjoyed the celebration. The food was AMAZING! Many of my guest were experiencing Trina's Place for the first time and swore to make this a place to frequent.

Tasted a rib. Sauce was good. Rib not as tender as I have had in other places. This was my first visit to this establishment. I have heard good reports from others. My order was fried catfish sandwich and fries and soda to drink. This was a last minute family gathering. Wait staff was pleasant and
accommodating. Other members of our party enjoyed their selections. I will visit again. Noticed the place is expanding and have added a stage and bar. Likely place for a private event. Free open parking. Easy to see from street.
A small place, serving classic African American fare. The food is good. They make almost everything to order so you can expect some time I'm waiting. It's not bad and the lady at the front is nice. It took us a while to get our order together and she was very patient with us.
Came in tonight and had many questions about the food, despite my MANY questions the lady cashier was VERY nice!! Ended up ordering the Philly combo added Mac and cheese and added baked beans. The Fries, Mac and cheese and baked beans were good. If you prefer sweeter baked beans, like myself you should go with a different side. The philly was very flavorful but really care for the big pieces of meat or the quality. Tired moms catfish and it was very good as well!!
