The Island has been a big part of our lives for over a decade now. The staff and bartenders are amazing, the food is great, and VOTR runs great tournaments throughout the year.
Especially love the annual Volley for Charity tournament. It’s an incredible event for a great cause!

What a little gem! So nice to play sand volleyball in the middle of winter! It was $10 a person. We didn’t stick around for drinks but they had great deals, I’ll definitely be back!

Even if you dont like volleyball, this place has some of the best bar food around in town, with a meal and drink selection that surprises most people.
Only thing this place is missing is a good casual volleyball activity on a friday or saturday night similar to Gibby's old fridays.

There needs to be a change of the policy of those that brings tent during AVP Denver Open where a group of people can take ownership of the top 1/3 spectator’s area at the championship court just because they brought a tent and reserve the area for their friends. We are all paying the same entry fee. If this is going to be a viable AVP venue the Island needs to put up tents for the spectators and not allow a few people to monopolize a huge area to reserve for their friends. Was not an issue during most of the tournament but disappointed of the current policy. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

This place is so much fun. This works for all ages. The youngsters loved it and the adults could have their beer. A fun place with indoor and outdoor vollyball. The service there was also super nice.

Such a cool idea! A bar in the middle of sand volleyball courts! I wasn’t able to try out the food or drinks but it looked good. Sitting on a beach chair with your shoes off watching a volleyball game really makes you want to play. It is awesome they have coed games and all your volleyball playing needs.

This place was awesome! We came for a bachelor party with a group of ten on Monday morning and they pretty much just opened the place for us. We'd definitely go back!!

Beach volleyball facility with six indoor courts and ten+ outdoor courts. Fully serve bar with two dozen beers on tap and full kitchen serving up yummy foods. Leagues, tournaments, and drop-in volleyball available for 7-days a week playing.

We went in and it wasn't busy at all. There were 6 indoor sand courts, 1 outdoor street level sand court, and 3 dug out sand courts. The venue was clean, had feet washing stations, a bar, and plenty of volleyballs. The aesthetic was very beach-oriented, as was expected, but they took it a step further with the designs, the building material and they even put fake palm trees outside the venue. Great experience, will definitely be back.

Excellent run volleyball leagues and tournaments. I've been playing in the women's doubles league since February. There are many well-kept sand courts and excellent communication to players. Drinks and bar area are fantastic. Highly recommend signing up to play and/or just coming for a beer.
I do wish clinics were announced with more than a day's notice - however I know those are not run by the Island

What an incredible asset this is for the Denver community. The ability to play a healthy, injury-free sport, year-round in a cold climate shouldn't be taken for granted. I guess I'll start by saying The Island is one of the big reasons we decided to buy our home in the neighborhood - it's that big of a part of our lives. The only indoor beach volleyball facility in Denver I know of. But it's more than that, it's a bar and restaurant and a great hang out spot in the Summer. I play here all the time and know all of the staff - when you play a lot you feel like family. The staff all knows you by name after a while and being here feels good. This is a place where memories are made for life, where you can challenge yourself and make new friends. It's a melting pot for people from all walks of life, getting together to have fun and compete playing a sport they love. It's a beautiful place and I hope it exists forever.

Love this place! I’ve loved all the food minus the fish tacos but I think that was more me than the tacos. Great place to get some sand volleyball in and an excellent friendly staff! Always a good time at the island and is affordable if you want to rent out for a large group or party!

Kiddo goes here with her day camp and talks about how much she LOVES this place! Table tennis, beach volleyball, good food and a bar for the adults! I have only been in to check it out when I go pick her up but I even like the layout and the vibe I get while in there. I can't wait til I can get a group of friends and go hangout and enjoy ourselves!
