Review Rocky Top Tavern - Denver

This Tavern was the absolute best place!! It was in walking distance of our Airbnb. It had great daily deals on drinks. The food was out of this world!! The homemade salsa was so delicious. Definitely a hidden gem for sure! Will be going back for sure.

Wandered in here after taking a class nearby, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I ordered an autumn ale and the chicken and waffle sliders. They were super tasty, but I wish they had a full chicken and waffle option because I was left wanting more but not wanting to order it again 😆 if I’m in the neighborhood I’d enjoy trying more next time. If I hadn’t been solo, it was a great afternoon for sitting in their outside area.

College place that is great for the beginning of end of your day. Never had bad service here. Highly recommend for fun time and bar food. Just wanted to add to my review as we just were there yesterday. We live down the street and love this place. Wednesdays are all you can eat wings, their breakfast burritos on weekends are well worth the low price, they have a hard to find IPA by Lone Wolf, and they make fantastic Bloody Mary's. Two pool tables and video games satisfy your game mode, they have lots of food items that are all above average from what we have tasted, and the vibe here is a perfect mix of college, dive-ish, local spot, and lively. A jukebox lets you own the tunes if desired. They were out of mac and cheese when I was there last, but that is next on my list. Will is a stellar bartender that knows when to engage and when to leave alone, and his service (along with his co-worker) is flawless and his personality is fun. The only people who can possibly give this place a 4-star rating are ones with overachieving expectations. Maybe they were looking for a white table cloth type of place. Highly recommend and see you there. Just went again and need to add something about the mac and cheese: I already light this place on past reviews, but I had the mac and cheese the other day and it was amazing. Great service, friendly regulars, video games, pool tables, juke box. This place is great on all fronts. Good specials, good prices even without specials, and wing night is fantastic. They carry a hard to find IPA called Lone Wolf also that is tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend. See you there. NEXT VISIT: Wife and I love this place more and more every single time. This time we had some lunch. Ben and colleagues, as usual, were great behind the bar. Perfect combo of personality, efficiency, and fun. GREAT drink and food specials on weekends. The $5 smothered burrito is a STEAL. $4 Bloody Mary's too. This time, we got the pretzel and grilled cheese (with some Buffalo sauce). Pics below. If you want to watch games, play games, and just be in a fun all around bar, this is the spot. Definitely recommend and see you there!

Nice little dive bar with weekly specials. I went on their bottomless wing night. $12 for all you can eat. Comes out 5 at a time with whatever sauce you want. Only a good deal if you can put back at least 20 wings, which I couldn't do. The sauces were great and the wings came out in minutes, but they were very dry. I would assume they pre-cook a ton of wings beforehand and drop them in the fryer for 30 seconds to heat them up, which would explain the speedy delivery and dryness of the meat. I would much rather have a set discount and fresh wings than unlimited, but that's just me.

Staying at an AB&B just a few blocks away, I've already been here 8 times in the past 10 days because the food prep is unusually phenomenal. Their wings are insanely good, and at times, Flintstones huge. The daily specials are great, but their normal menu is also priced well. The staff is killer. Also Dog friendly, obviously. So glad I found this gem! I never buy restaurant merch, but am definitely grabbing a shirt before heading back home for the good memories. Keep it up guys!

Bartenders Will and Cal are freakng true rockstars! I threw them 2 different drinks to make and……they were smacked out of the park! Will made one of the best Margaritas Ive had in my 31 years of drinking! Fantastic understanding of customer service!!! I give this place 10 STARS **********

Let me set the scene with a little intro. My wife and I are flying to Colorado for the first time and the thunderstorms delay/detour us to Nebraska to refuel because we could land. this 4 hour trip turned into an 8 hour head ache. We got N airbnb on a Friday night and this bar came up with good drinks and food. We basically ordered a little bit of everything after not eating all day besides a bloody Mary at the airport. this place had a great vibe, pool table, very nice staff and the food hit the spot just right. If you're in the area get over there you won't regret it.

Green Chile Philly: phenomenal. Eaten a few things here and they’re all so good, this sandwich rocked my world tho!!! Whoever’s rocking the kitchen is killing it. Great drinks, great service, highly recommend.

Great place for awesome pub grub. The burrito is excellent and worth every penny. The tater tots are rocking. The nacho fries are phenomenal. The bartender took great care of us. The chicken and waffle sliders was delicious. I should have known not to order a side salad in a pub. It was a little bowl of iceberg lettuce, shaved carrots and croutons. That's it. I even paid $3.00 more for this side. Not worth it.

The wings were just the way I like them crispy and well seasoned, the beer cold, staff was busy but trying their best. Too bad the smokers don't read and remain inconsiderate. I will be back but I'll avoid the patio, one of the best parts of the location.

used to be a big fan/regular and this place used to be fun until the bar tenders realized everyone they're tending to is either the local alcoholic or a 5th year from regis...i've waited an hour many times for food and i even got kicked out once for not having my service dog on a leash and after i agreed to go get it, was not let back into the bar and was yelled at and humiliated in front of many people. not a great way to run a business, cody.... lost a loyal customer after that.

This was a nice place! It's small though and got weird when more and more people showed up and stared at you while you were eating hoping you would leave so they could have the table. The service was great, the food came put pretty quick. No complaints. The 2 toilets in the ladies room took me by surprise but it just added to the vibe!

First time here and had a GREAT time great prices for beer and food would totally recommend to come here

Tons of hot college dudes! The bar staff is on point and responsible ....its a good ol fashion bar with some good eats and drinks! The Totcho's are the jam!

I LOVE this place!! I've lived down the street for about 4 years and have been coming here since they opened! I LOVE the staff and I LOVE the food!! I love how the staff really gets to know their regulars...I can walk in and have a beer waiting for me before I even sit down - love that!!!!! (Just wish they had breakfast during the week �)

Went to Rocky Top tavern about month-and-a-half ago for the $5 wings. The wings were good, manager came out to greet, very nice guy, but got a weird vibe from the people sitting across from the table from us where they're were staring us down looking for a fight, but other than that okay first experience. Tonight on the other hand, I understand that the World Series game seven was on and it was $5 wings but our waitress was horrible she was picking and choosing who she wanted to help. I met up with my friend who was there for half an hour before me she didn't even recognize him at all when I walked in and he ordered a couple of beers from her and a couple orders of wings. When we would get our order or refills they were cold, not even warm. At one point in the night she just stopped taking our order. Throughout the whole night, i saw her take at least 3 shots well she's being buddy-buddy with other people. I know the people behind us she couldn't get their order right either and kept on bringing out the wrong food. I get that you work at a bar and you're going to take shots or you're going to drink but maybe you shouldn't drink if you can't handle doing your job. I wanted to give this a one-star rating but I felt bad because the first experience wasn't that bad and it is a cool bar with a cool setup at the same time too somebody hired this waitress. This was definitely a night that I wanted to stay out longer and have a couple more beers and a couple of shots but the place was really busy and we had enough of our waitress...

Kyle.... I like your style. Been here for college football Saturdays and a few other random nights and they have good drink specials, no pretension, awesome staff and a local feel.

Drove 45+ minutes to get there and try it out with a few friends - place was busy so we stood waiting for a table - sat down at 5:45 and was then told by the waitress since I had a child I would be removed at 6:00 - horrible! I felt discriminated against and was really upset - if they had posted it anywhere on their site, we would haven't made the special trip. Two thumbs down � �

Amazing staff and great food and beer selection! Came in to see the Avalanche game plenty of room and tvs so everyone can enjoy their game!

Great staff, food and environment. Go there all the time after golf. Wings are legit and � is always cold.
