Review New York Pizzeria - Denver

Nothing to look at and the service is hit or miss but this place has the best pizza I've had in Denver. They are the only place I've been that really understands how to make good pizza crust. You can put whatever you want on a pizza but if you start with crappy crust you get crappy pizza. Good toppings, good sauce and , as I said, great crust. Also, I've never had an issue with the owner. Always nice and helpful. Some of the slackers he hires are a different story but if that is the price you have to pay for pizza this good, so be it. I also don't live in their delivery area so no experience with that. And decor, who needs decor in a pizza joint. All you need is a counter, some booths and the proper shakers. Oregano, parmesan, hot pepper flakes and garlic powder. That's what I'm talking about.

Loved the pizza! The crust is just right. You either know it or you don't and these guys have it down. Would've been a 5 but the specialty pizza toppings seemed like they weee thrown on top and they fell off when we were eating them. Not to say it tasted bad at all! Great flavor, fun to eat a super giant slice! Make sure you stop here if in the Denver area.

Have ordered delivery a few times from NY Pizzeria. Overall it's pretty good... At least much better than the chains. The delivery is quick. I really like the Queens specialty pizza.... Mmm. Not too pricey but not the cheapest either. Overall a good combination of taste and cost.

We are frequent customers. Probably at least once a month. I once went in to pick up a pie to take home; the owner apologized that the pie was going to be a few more minutes and offered me a beer on the house. How did he know that's all I really wanted? Great service, on time delivery and of course great pizza.

I've always thought New York pizza was the best pizza in "fast food" type pizza place. But the one we received last night was exceptional..I've never thought about tasting fresh ingredients in a pizza..but last night I did. I could actually taste the difference, actually could taste the freshness of the 3 meats, and the Roma tomatoes.

I had given up on pizza since I moved here from NYC. It seemed pointless to even eat pizza anymore. But I just moved to this neighborhood and have yet to go grocery shopping, so I thought, what the hell? Yo, let me tell you, this pizza made me miss home, but not in a "god, why can't people make pizza everywhere like they do in NY?" kind of way, but more of a "oh, now that's home" kind of way!!! This pizza made me believe that there are a few New Yorkers out here in cowboy land. The only problem I have now is sticking to my diet knowing you are right up the street. But seriously, great pizza! The honey in the dough really makes a difference. Great pizza. Don't know about the rest of the food. Keep up the good work!

I grew up in South Florida with a lot of New York pizzerias and this place by far had the best food and selection of any Pizzeria I have seen in Colorado for my 18 years here. The baked ziti was outstanding. The only reason I would have given them a four and a half if it was available is because the garlic bread was not close to the goodness of the ziti. I know I am nitpicking now

Ordered a NY Pizzeria XL thin crust pie, a salad and cheesecake through GrubHub. Delivery arrived HOT and 30 minutes early! First time order from NY Pizzeria and GrubHub. Very pleased with the quality of the food and great service!

Honestly, I only got on + to give these guyz a thumbs up. I lived in the Bronx, which means I've had pizza all over NYC. I don't know what these "New Yorkers" are talking about Sounds like 42nd St Sbarro types. Maybe eat your pizza and shutup about they weren't nice? I've also eaten pizza in Tuscana, but I'm not "Jersey Shore," wink. Two things I've learned about good pizza: 1) Americans, typically do it better than the Italians -- not the Italian-Americans,that is, and; 2) NY Pizzeria Denver is the best pizza in town. I wish they were open now. Like a real NY pizzeria would be. and maybe play all the Yankees' games. I'd be their twice a week. VTY, Al

This was seriously one of the best pizzas I have ever had in my life. I've been a cook for over five years and have had a lot of pizza. This is as close to New York pizza you can get.
