I stopped in this place every once in awhile but today I felt like some breakfast. I was craving some biscuits and gravy and I also got two eggs over easy, sausage, bacon and hash browns but the biscuits and gravy were not that good. There was absolutely no seasoning in the gravy and it basically tasted like a milk and flour rue nothing in it. Also the coffee was really weak so if you want a good strong cup of coffee do not come here. The waitress was really nice and I like the atmosphere here but it was just okay for me the past couple of times I've been here

Simple. Straight to the point. Excellent service! Two people can get a phenomenal meal and coffee for under 20.00. Beat that! I would come here with a group of people that were on a budget and wanted to eat well.

Speedy and friendly service, food order was amazingly quick. Great breakfast deals on handheld or smothered burritos and lots of other stuff. The biscuits and gravy was very good. Plenty of seating for groups or at the bar. Easy to get to on Washington and plenty of parking near the building main entrance. Next time I’ll try the chicken fried steak!

This restaurant is located in a stand alone brick building. The picture shows two windows with window grilles and a smaller window made with glass bricks. Inside, the staff was very welcoming. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. I had hashbrowns, scrambled eggs, sausage, and a pancake. Everything tasted great and disappeared promptly. Prices were reasonable an I strongly recommend this place for breakfast.

Biscuits and gravy with excellent. Steak and eggs were delicious. Coffee was off the wall good and very drinkable. Great waitress and happy and joyful place. Busy but not to busy that the ignore you and cooks look like they were liking their job. Recommend.

I have been going to Butcher Block Cafe for decades and will continue to go. I have tried almost everything on the menu and can say their food is well cooked and delicious.
On this occasion, I had the chicken fried steak with gravy, a salad, whipped potatoes, and a few slices of bread. It tastes as a chicken fried steak should.
The service is more than great. They take care of customers period! The food was brought out in a timely manner and cooked correctly. The restaurant is clean with style that looks like it hasn't changed in 50 years, but that is what I like about Butcher Block Cafe. Overall a great place to eat and will continue to come back.
