The Blazing Chicken Shack Ii - Denver - Photo album

From the outside, this place doesn't look like much, but the folks working in there are making magic. I had 12 wings and a side of Mac and cheese. The wings were good sized, the honey hot sauce was tasty and plenty used. The Mac and cheese, it was out of this world. One of the guys I was with said h
Man this felt like being back home down in the Mid-South. The staff reminded me of my family. The waitress was running with her head cut off with a smile! I will be back! The Oxtails were perfect!
This is the best food that I had when I was in Denver. Hands down the best soul food in the area If I am guessing. You have to give this place a try. The oxtails, cornbread, fried okra, rice and gravy and sweet tea were all on point. I will be going back here If I am ever in the Denver area again. T
Visited from out of state and happened upon this place in search of soulfood, had so many people tell us there were no soulfood restaurants in the Denver/Aurora Area. WRONG!!! This place is The Bomb... everything cooked to order, flavored and seasoned just right, wished we found the spot earlier ca
I Didn’t Get The Best Pictures Of My Food, HOWEVER This Is Hands Down The BEST SOULFOOD In Colorado! When I Tell You I’ve Eaten At Lots Of Southern Styled Restaurants But Blazin Chicken Shack Takes The Cake! The Service Was Wonderful It’s Black Opened With Black Cooks The Food Tastes Home Cooked If
WOW. When I opened these wings I KNEW I was in for something special. Very unassuming exterior houses what’s gotta be some of the best wings I’ve ever had in CO. Mango Hab wings weren’t too hot, but you could tell the sauce was quality and made in house. The lemon pepper wings were SMACKING. Gre
The food here is very good. Probably the best I’ve had in Denver. Nice, chill, relaxing atmosphere. The location is small but they don’t rush you. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back for seconds.
I must say they have some Beautiful black women working here, providing A+ service. Atmosphere was great with good 🎶 music good drinks 🍸 and great food
Probably the best soul food I ever had! Everything was so juicy and tender. Would definitely come back to try more of the menu. Their wings and catfish were incredible!
Delicious! Haven’t had such tasty soul food since Montgomery, Alabama. Rave reviews of Catfish and fried okra. Black eyed peas cooked perfectly! Leftovers were delicious as well
Oxtails are amazing , the chicken is huge with the perfect amount of crispiness and juiciness the greens here are better then I’ve had from anywhere else in colorado and piled high, I didn’t get any of the catfish but oh my it smelled and looked so good my mouth couldn’t stop watering. can’t forget
This is the best soul food in Denver. And the vibe is always great. Love the oxtails. That gravy is so flavorful. The catfish and shrimp dinner is a winner too. Our go to spot when I don’t feel like cooking because I know it’s about to be delicious. It’s like going to your favorite Aunty house.
Loved the oxtail rice dinner, I actually ordered an extra to-go. The chicken, catfish, and sides were all good. Staff were friendly and I was amazed to have just stumbled into this place.
The food was amazing. We had fried chicken, catfish, gumbo, okra, collards, yams, black eyed peas, and cornbread. I think it was the best okra I've had. It was a small place and only one other customer was there, but they got several phone orders. Our server was polite but not friendly.
This is some of the best soul food I've ever had! The atmosphere feels like you just stepped into a little jazz café in New Orleans. None of the staff are in a hurry, and you will have to wait a minute to have your order taken and made. This is a good thing! You know it's gonna be great. This place
Loved it! I grew up in Mississippi - this felt like 1963 small town MS in a good way. Ambience, staff, flavors, menu selection took me home. I'll be back! Fried chicken, okra, red beans/rice and peach cobbler. Mmmmmmmm
Some of the little hole-in-the-wall places are the tastiest. These ladies have a whole lot of flavor coming out of there with that catfish dinner. Both the shrimp and catfish were season 2 perfection. I won't speak on the macaroni and cheese because I still haven't found anybody that can beat Jim's
I’m from Kansas City, looking for some soul food like my home town favorite. Some real fried chicken served here by real people who care. A great dinner spot for Mac and cheese, fried okra, wings, fries, it’s all good. There’s a vending machine here, too. Wednesday’s $1.50 a wing, 3 minimum. Hot ho
It's very easy to drive by this little unassuming place without ever noticing it! A friend told me about it so I decided to drop by. I'm always looking for real Soul Food, and I wasn't disappointed! Of course I had fried chicken! 😋 I ordered the wings and got 3 of them perfectly seasoned and fried!
