Review The Wolf’s Tailor - Denver

Came here to celebrate a birthday, lovely outdoor ambiance and the staff are very professional. I loved most of the food, but the main course was not great for me. (I'm Korean and they used Korean flavors which was a unique surprise, but I didn't enjoy it and I left most of it on the plate.) Order two drinks, enjoyed one. Bugs kept committing suicide in my water glass so I just put it to the side. I like that they provide blankets and a heated seat pad if you request it (which you should! So nice!) Overall, I think I might come again, but would maybe choose tent or indoor seating next time.

Every course was beautiful and amazing. Excellent service. One of the top 5 meals I’ve ever had. You will not regret your meal here. We shared a wine pairing, it really does complement the meal. I love that 90% of the ingredients are from the state.

We dined in the tent and it was outstanding. The service was impeccable and the food was beyond impressive. The artistic quality and the melding of flavors, top notch. I definitely did NOT leave hungry. I would go for this amazing experience again, for sure!!

The food was really delicious, gorgeous presentation and comfortable seating inside the restaurant. The wine pairing was a little non traditional for some courses and we did not think some of the choices went well with courses but really no complaints.

Absolutely my best meal experience in my life. The food exceeded all expectations. The staff was exceptional. They were kind, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. Going into this night I had very high expectations. Every one was surpassed. Thank you for taking such good care of my girlfriend and I on our special night!

The food was splendid. The cocktail pairing was amazing. Tasted some of the mocktails as well. Incredible. The over experience is one to repeat definitely. Cheers 🥂 to the chef and staff!

Was in Denver for a wedding and decided early on we wanted to try this place based on reviews. It was absolutely amazing, service was impeccable and the food was delicious. We opted into the cocktail pairing at the last minute because we had never done anything like that before and it was absolutely worth it. Some highlights of our meal were the cocktail paired with the tomato 3 ways dish (So weird and savory and sweet and good). We also loved the trout custard dish, lamb lettuce wraps, and the dessert & dessert cocktail. It is truly a shame there is no Michelin guide for Denver!!

The Wolf's Tailor is by far the best dinning experience I've had in Denver, rivaling that of Michelin star restaurants. My partner and I went to celebrate our anniversary and will definitely be returning. The six course set menu "Roots - As above, so below" was an adventure, exploring perfectly prepared seasonal local ingredients. Each dish expertly designed with robust flavors that entice your appetite without overpowering the palate. Highly encourage guests to opt-in for the drink pairings to add another layer of depth to your dinning experience. The staff was incredibly accommodating. The initial reservation captured dietary restrictions, notes about our visit, and a teaser of what to expect. They followed up a few days before the reservation to confirm dietary restrictions and offer special services for our event. When we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, even had a hand written note to us for the occasion. During the dinning experience, the team was perfectly balanced at providing details and support, without overwhelming the dinning experience. Atmosphere was an interesting blend of immaculate white oak tables and counters contrasted with more lightly painted OSB. Entering through the garden showcases the wonderful outdoor dinning experience. Cannot recommend The Wolf's Tailor enough, its an experience you will not forget.

A memorable dinner. 7 courses, each one described and presented beautifully, and absolutely delicious. We also opted for a Wine Pairing, and a Cocktail Pairing, both were terrific. The service was warm, professional, and flawless. And, we could actually have a conversation! I wouldn't change a thing. LOVED the entire experience.

I have been here twice now across two years and this is the best restaurant I’ve been to in Colorado. They nail the farm to table aspect of fresh ingredients, but also succeed where many such places fail in being high cuisine. The service and attention to detail is amazing as well. This restaurant would be notable anywhere in the world and absolutely outshines other Colorado restaurants while highlighting what Colorado has to offer.

Absolutely incredible experience from start to finish. Everything was so thoughtful. NA drink pairing was perfect, and I do mean perfect. If this is on your radar & you're contemplating visiting, you should. It's worth your time and money.

Wolf's Tailor might get a Michelin star when the Colorado guide comes out! Their commitment to locally sourced and seasonal ingredients, and the attention to detail of the staff is reminiscent of other Michelin-awarded restaurants that we've had the privilege of going to. Most of the dishes were amazing, but the cherry tomato stood out for me. The shaved ice next to the cherry tomato is frozen and filtered/centrifuged tomato juice. It tasted so tomato-ey. The chawanmushi was the group favorite, and it was so good! The herbs on top perfectly balanced the smoked trout, roe, and corn custard. I've never had "Bossam" but the lamb was too salty for me. The dan dan noodles was the one dish that I could judge with any credibility, having had it multiple times in the Sichaun province of China, and it was not amazing. The nicest way I can put it is that the dish is very lightly inspired by dan dan mian. I am hopeful for Wolf's Tailor getting at least a nod from the guide. The service was excellent, and a couple of the dishes were very inventive. My overall experience was very memorable. However, it wasn't a 5/5 for me since two courses missed the mark, and at this price point, we shouldn't let that slide.

We had an absolutely magical evening in the garden enjoying a tasting menu at the Wolf's Tailor. The staff were knowledgeable and passionate and the food was intriguing, surprising, and most importantly absolutely delicious. This was an upscale experience, and worth the higher price point. A really memorable experience!

Wow definitely the best meal I’ve had in the Denver area. We were blown away by the creative presentation and flavors. Everything locally sourced and each course was liking eating (and drinking) a work of art. We were literally surrounded by the garden they used to make the food. Wish it wasn’t so expensive but worth it.

Absolutely phenomenal experience, from the atmosphere to the cuisine and everything in between. We were lucky enough to grab one of the tents, which was incredibly private, had a beautiful fire going, and kept us warm in 7°F. I want to add that the musical ambience was also fantastic. The tent seating offered a special donabe experience—a Japanese clay cooking style. The service was top-notch and a perfect blend of being attentive while letting us enjoy the 13-course adventure. The cocktails were delicious, potent, and accompanied the plates nicely; we were even treated to celebratory cider. The flavor profiles of every dish was delicious, with every bite increasing in complexity— resulting in an incredibly savory and life-changing dinner. I could not recommend The Wolf's Tailor enough, such a satisfying and splendid experience.

I recently went to Wolf’s Tailor for a second time and was blown away. They have improved immensely from my first visit 3-4 years ago. The atmosphere was so comfortable and fun. I loved watching the chefs prepare our food with meticulous precision. The wait staff was very caring and accommodating, a the wine experts were funny and jovial. The seven course meal was stunning - so many unique flavors and delicious offerings. My favorite was the trout bowl, lamb, and bread. Lastly, the wine pairing was flawless and matched every meal perfectly. We also had a couple cocktails which were very good. Highly recommend visiting this freshly honored Michelin star restaurant!

My husband and I decided to dine at the The Wolf’s Tailor for our wedding anniversary. We have done structured course meals like this before, but we were very excited to try this spot as it has received a Michelin star. Everything that we tried, and I mean everything, was absolutely incredible. Typically with these sorts of meals we always anticipate there will be at least one dish or item that we were just kind of OK about, this was not the case with the meal that we received. Everything was very flavorful, fresh, and beautifully unique. The fish was just about the most fresh that you can ever get in Colorado, and it really was a joyous experience to be able to eat so many things that come straight from our beloved home of Colorado. I would recommend this spot for anyone who is looking for a truly unique, intentional, and delicious meal. It is absolutely worth the hype.
