Taki Sushi is a gem in Washington Park. Our kids live in the area and frequent this place, and wanted to take us there while we were visiting from Cincinnati. It will now be a regular go-to when we visit! The staff is very friendly and our server, Art, was great. It's too bright inside, and could do with some toning-down and warming-up the lighting.
For appetizers we ordered the kid's favorite; Garlic Broccoli. It was cooked perfectly and we asked for the extra sauce to be put in a cup to dip into the rest of the dinner because it was that good. We also had the Cucumber Sashimi off the appetizer menu. It was extremely fresh tasting and the cucumber was the perfect compliment to the tuna. The Yellowtail Jalapeño Hamachi was fabulous. I cut up one ring of jalapeño per bite of cod and it was perfect. And I never miss a chance to order Miso Black Cod if it's on a menu. This version was executed perfectly and presented with nicely cooked asparagus. We followed up with four different sushi rolls. Every single one was so fresh and delicious.
The sake and the Rose wine were both delightful as well. Two other great aspects of this place is that they are open till 10pm and reasonably priced! This is actually a 4.5 star review if I could do that.
I’ve been eating at Taki since it’s opening nearly 15 years ago. It still reigns as one of my favorite places to eat. The fish is great, the portions are generous and the price beats comparable sushi restaurants in the area. Its delivery and takeout are excellent as well. Definitely a spot to hit!
Great sushi for a reasonable price. We got the sushi platter for two and it was excellent. They are very generous with proportions and the fish, especially the salmon, tasted high quality. The miso soup was also very good.
This is a little hidden gem. Service is great and the sushi is fresh! Really enjoyed the saki as well. We tried 4-5 different rolls and were pleased with all of them. Dumplings are my go to appetizer and I’d only recommend they add the option of maybe a half or full order, I would have maybe enjoyed an option to have 6 instead of 4.
Perfect place. Suitable for all ages. A wide selection of menus to taste and color. The staff is very polite. We were there to celebrate a child's birthday. I liked everything. Prices are affordable. There are enough places suitable for any company. I advise everyone
SERIOUSLY!! These folks cram these rolls with meat and about 2 grains thick of rice! SO good! I love the yellow roll, New york special roll and that happy roll or whatever and the dragon roll also. I'm going to have to plan out how to sleep in my car just so I can afford to eat here everyday I'm not even kidding. They give you a huge bunch of ginger and wasabi too.
This place is Seriously the business!!
Not the best I’ve tried but decent enough. A little too pricey than the rest. Menu doesn’t provide that many options. Even the soy sauce provided was basic. But loved the volcano sushi and king crab special sushi.
I don't write a lot of reviews but Taki sushi deserves this review in every way. This restaurant is absolutely hands down the best sushi I have ever had in my life. I live in Florida half the year and this is one of the very first restaurants I look forward to and eat at when I get back to Denver. It has worked its way into the top three of my favorite restaurants. The quality is unmatched, it all comes so fresh, colorful and the rolls are the most cohesive in flavor and appearance of any sushi restaurant. I order delivery regularly so the containers are unmarked and it comes down to flavor and quality when it arrives and compared to other sushi competitors in the area with identical unmarked containers this far surpasses anything else in every way. It is remarkable how nice the staff is when I go in to pick up too. I wish I could tell everybody about this restaurant but I will start here ! Thank you for all your hard work Taki I can't tell you how much I appreciate it each order.
Unpretentious sushi restaurant with good quality sushi at a reasonable price. It won't win awards for ambiance, but the staff are friendly and it's clean.
I'm not usually one to comment on service, but our server was so attentive & kind! He kept refilling our sake, came immediately with extras like ginger & sauce & even brought us complementary watermelon at the end of our meal! The sushi was great and their regular rolls come with fun extras like jalepeño or crab & cuc (shrimp tempura). The prices for regular rolls are also pretty unheard of for good quality sushi in Denver- only ~$7 for shrimp tempura & $6 for eel & avocado. Will definitely be going back.
