Review Amethyst Coffee - Denver

Nice lil coffee shop with a very sweet barista. They have delicious pastries as well- including cinnamon rolls and brioche’s that are so good! The vibe is overall chill with the background music and provides a safe space for anyone looking for a quite chill place to pass the time :)

One of my favorite shops in Denver. Always great coffee & great staff. They’re friendly & make very consistently great coffee—and usually have 2-3 good options on espresso which I always appreciate. On top of that, I love their ethos. Tips/fare wages are built right into the pricing. I wish more shops did this. I worked in coffee for a few years & like any service job it can be a slog. So it’s nice to see places that are trying to make the job sustainable for their employees. They’ve got a dog-friendly patio & a good vibe inside or outside. A great third-wave coffee shop that does everything well.

The friendly staff and ambiance of the shop was only improved by the quality of the drinks. I could tell the baristas were passionate about their coffee craft and the latte I got didn’t disappoint. The shop was in inviting and the options for both food and drinks were carefully selected. I was very impressed by this coffee shop.

Amethyst coffee is a great spot to check out. The atmosphere is very relaxing and comforting with great decorations and seating areas. Probably one of the coolest coffee shops around Broadway. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly as well, not to mention their skill with making exactly what you desire. The coffee is very high quality and had a varietal that I had been meaning to try. Definitely a must try if you are around the area.

There’s a small parking lot in front. The place is a bit quiet making it a nice study spot. The service was fast and friendly. The decor was beautiful. There were all gender single occupancy bathrooms. Cold brew was good.

This is one of THE best spots to grab coffee in Denver. I visit denver every year and the best part is watching the giant pothos plant takeover the place. Flat white, lightly sweet. Thats my go to order if you want something simple but great.

Eager to spend some childless time at the art museum, I showed up far too early (but why doesn't the museum open earlier?). The interesting thing about this area of town is that nothing is open until 10, even the Mad Greens across the way. Even Cafe Gio. So if you want a coffee, you have to wander ... to Amethyst Coffee! I'd never been to Amethyst but the vibe was so chill and filled with plants. I ordered a latte and, I'll be honest, the sticker shock hit me hard. $8 for a latte? Seemed pricey. But there I was and there I would stay. Although $8 is a lot for a latte, the truth with coffee is that you get what you pay for, and this latte was every bit worth the $8 it cost. Smooth, creamy, caffeinated ... all of my favorite things. If you're not down with paying for craft coffee and experiencing the best that those little beans have to offer, I recommend skipping Amethyst. But if you appreciate delicious, smooth coffee, definitely stop by here (especially if you're early to the museum)!

Oh this place was great! Only wish it had more business. I had the matcha latte, my boyfriend got an espresso, and our friend got a cappuccino. The coffee was delicious all around, and very good quality. The outdoor patio was lovely. The service was quick and caring (the employee brought our drinks out to us). It wasn’t too busy when we visited and I’m hoping that was just due to a slow time on the day. This place really deserves our patronage because not a lot of coffee shops get it just right.

Cute vibe, cute baristas. Lots of non-dairy milk options for human beings woo don't want to harm cows with dairy. I love the specialty drinks, which are basically creative cocktails that use coffee instead of alcohol. They aren't even that expensive ($5, not bad for a treat). I would like to see vegan pastries and foods. Parking is also tough. If they would eliminate products of violence in their store completely I would never leave.

Quite honestly, my favorite coffee shop. I stop here at least 4-5 times a week. Incredibly friendly staff, cleanest & nicest bathrooms, best made drinks & pastries & the vibe… spectacular. My husband & I love to try out new coffee shops almost every weekend; it’s been our thing for years. :) We’ve been to dozens here in Denver & this is by far the best. I must comment about the pricing left on other reviews. Fun fact - Drinks at other shops are around the same price as Amethyst, BUT Amethyst’s includes tip. Other shops don’t include tip so you are actually paying the same or more at the end somewhere else, depending on your drink. I think people aren’t realizing when they are stating the pricing is “slightly higher”. The staff at Amethyst are paid an actual livable wage, so they don’t accept tips. They are truly an incredible business & group of people, with whom I always look forward to seeing. Y’all have created something special. :)

One of the best coffee shops I have ever experienced. The vibe is laid back and comfortable. I had a fabulous Ethiopian pour over served in a perfect little retro looking Pyrex small pitcher. Great staff, friendly folks and lovely decor. They brought our drinks to us at the window bar ;~>

Both of my regular coffee shops were closed, so I went here to get a to-go cup for work. I asked for a large and they gave me a cup that holds maybe 12 ounces, and said it would be $3. It tastes like...coffee. Twelve ounces is not a large, and no twelve ounces of coffee is worth $3, no matter how trendy the decor in the place where you buy it.

One of the best in Denver. Friendly staff, great service, amazing coffee and the ambience is super cool. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Amethyst Coffee Co. Is a different kind of coffee place. Instead of dark and introspective there is a more light, open and serene feel to the environment. They make their drip coffee one cup at a time and it has a quality and texture I enjoy very much. The staff is wonderful and by my second visit they had already remembered my name. Visit Amethyst for a refreshing break from the coffee house norm.

By far the best coffee shop in town! The staff pays attention to detail and the subtle nuances of coffee. Love it!

Run by some of the coolest, most genuine people in coffee. Amazing coffee and a beautiful light-filled space.

Its good ,nice ambiance but just take your coffee after you pay ( if its just regular coffee) otherwise it appears your getting great service by bringing them to you along with waters but make you go back in to put cream in your coffee .makes no sense lol to make you go back in after they bring your naked coffee to you .

Fabulous place! From the homemade cashew milk to the in house vanilla bean sweetener. My go to Matcha green tea latte go to. And pressed juice daily is right next door! This California transplant is stoked!!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. The selection of espresso was overwhelming in the best possible way but the commonwealth I settled on was absolutely delicious. Best cortado I've had. I was feeling adventurous so I got a chia pudding and it was surprisingly good. Wish I lived closer but I will make a point of coming in as much as I can.

Took a trip out west and into Denver, drinking my daily coffees wherever I could get them that looked interesting. The coffee I had here was the best cup of joe I've ever had! Took one sip and ordered another one to go.

This place will pour you the best cup of coffee in Denver.

Awesome atmosphere and personable staff. Went in with some friends and the short line moved quickly, ordered 5 coffees and was served promptly. Even while busy the barista was nice enough to help me select my coffee. Will be back next time I make it to Denver.

Some of the best coffee and friendliest service I've yet seen in the Denver artisan coffee industry.
