Review Phoenician Kabob - Denver

Robert Owen
I ordered the Gyros sandwich from their lunch menu. Honestly, I thought it was a large sandwich to have ordered from the lunch menu. However, I am very thankful. But, I would like to try something else and maybe go to Phoenician Kabob on Friday when they have a belly dance performance.

I LOVE Phoenician Kabob. We have been enjoying their sublime fresh-baked pita and exquisite hummus and baba ghanouj for years. The owner is SO nice and friendly. It feels like you’re going to his house for dinner. Truly excellent lentil soup, chicken shawarma, and did I mention the pita and jibneh? Soooo good! I love the Lebanese wine selection. Plus, I love that you can reserve here. Such a perfect place to bring a group. I was really honored that they wrote my name out and placed it on the table for my reservation. Honestly, it made my night … along with the superb food and service!

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile now and finally got the chance. I really enjoyed it as the owner is very friendly and so is his staff. The food is really good too!

The food is good, the service too. Atmosphere ok. We really like going there sometimes. We love to eat fried Kibbeh. Their sheep kabobs are very tender and delicious 🤤

Wow, this was really good! A bit pricey ($145 for 4 people with delivery and tip) but so so so so good. Our normal Mediterranean places are closed on Monday's, so we decided to give this place a shot. Definitely will be ordering again! My favorites were the lamb shish kabob and beef shawarma. The saffron shrimp were also to die for! The biggest hit was the garlic dip. It made every dish better. I mean even the rice and pita, simple things, were made wonderfully! Every piece of meat was tender, flavorful, and not overcooked. Only thing I didn't care for was the falafel, but I've never liked falafel. They use compostable containers which made me happy. Nothing needed to be reheated upon arrival (used GrubHub). It all held really well. I'm full and satisfied. 5 stars for sure.

Enjoyed the food, service, and experience. Was a great way to start vacation. Stumbled on this place as we wanted to try something new. The recommendations were perfect and for someone who loves heat for food taste, this place did not disappoint. Perfect, thanks!

Absolutely love this place! The owners are so so friendly and sweet and the food is amazing! I don’t go out to eat often but I love this place and go once a week at least.

I have to say, I enjoyed every single bite of our meal in Denver. I had a 3 course meal, with a couple of beers and the wife had some nice Lebanese Wine. The prices were very reasonable for the massive amounts of food they bring out and great service from everyone. Ideal for those who want a romantic night out. There was also plenty of room for bigger groups if need be.We are definitely coming back to this place next time we are in town.

Great Kabobs: I got the chicken kabob on a cold day and my food was not only warm once I got home, but delicious as well. Highly recommend the chicken, beef or lamb.

They have the absolute best hummus, and the pita comes out fresh and hot.

Phoenician Kabob was exquisite. The flavors were captivating and well worth the value. Abby w As friendly, informative and joyful. The atmosphere took me directly to the middle east. I highly recommend for anyone and shall be returning to witness the dancer on Fridays!

Setting 4/5. The setting of the Phoenician kabobs remind me of being inside the restaurants of the Midwest--cozy but plainly decorate. Very clean, and enough pizzazz to mix up the atmosphere. Food was 5/5. You can see by the sultan plate that I received, it was packed full of falafel hummus, baba ganoush, lamb meat, and chicken shawarma. Fresh appearance with zesty dill dressing and tzatziki. The pita bread in addition made for excellent dipping! For dessert, I received a complimentary slice of Baklava, which was a thoughtful touch on my birthday. Service 5/5. Our gentleman was versed in most of the menus and served up the food in a well organized way, handing out entrees from how the order was taken. Our other waitress was also nice, making light jokes as we wrapped up.

DELISH! Phoenician Kabob catered a dinner party for us and it was perfect! Delish food, beautiful presentation and great options for our gluten free, vegetarian and meat eating friends! We loved the chicken, gyro, humus, falafel, baba ghanouj, grape leaves, and greek salad! YUM! THANK YOU!

Two of us split the chicken Schwarma lunch special and it was plenty filling. Tasty. Very clean place, too.

Yum!!!. Great atmosphere! Met the owner, such a sweet guy! Food is so good! Definitely coming back.

Not that great. My expectation might have been too high after reading great reviews here. Well, unfortunately it wasn't that great....... I lived in Jordan. Took Lebanese cooking lessons from Lebanese lady. She was such a great cook and maybe I shouldn't be comparing.... But anyway, the food wasn't impressive or anything. Tasted like they forgot to season it..... Maybe they did?

Delicious!!! We've had the Musaka, the lamb shank, the salad with chicken gyros. All were very flavorful. Great menu and mice decor, too. Definitely one if our favorite places to eat out.

Amazing.. Ended up stumbling upon this and thought I'd try it out. I am so glad I did because the food is great, prices are reasonable, and the owner and people that work there are so unbelievably friendly. I love this place!

What a gem!. Stopped in this place completely on a whim. And we were so impressed! Excellent service, incredible food, and the owner is friendly and incredibly passionate. Definitely try the Sultan combo and one of the fatayer's. Can't wait to go back. Wish I was still hungry so I can go back and eat some more.

Average food quality. Serves warm and not hot. Service fair at best. There has to be better middle eastern food in town.

Authentic Eastern Mediterranean Food!. The hummus, Baba Ganoush and Labnee were superb. Bread was hot off the grill. Lebanese coffee was as strong as it comes and Kanafee!!! hmmm!

Best middle eastern food in Denver!. YUM! I love this place. We tried it for the first time last night, and i was very pleasantly surprised. My family is Lebanese, and this is definitely the closest thing I have found to their cooking, ANYWHERE! The fatayer (meat pie) was delicious, and the hummus is soo good. Because it was a Saturday they had a belly dancer too, which was kind of cool. Service excellent as well.

Outstanding Middle Eastern food. I've tried a lot of Middle Eastern restaurants, here in Denver and elsewhere, and this is hands down my favorite. Everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic, the prices are reasonable, the service is great, and the owner is friendly and personable. To top things off, they make the most outstanding baklava I've ever had in my life. If you like Middle Eastern food at all, do yourself a favor and try Phoenician Kabob. You'll be glad you did.

Fantastic!!!. We had the greatest time the other night! The food is wonderful the service was amazing.
The Bellydancing was so cool, how do you do that with your body...? Amazed!
Labanese Coffee is a must if you are a coffee connoisseur. Freshly made Baklava is the perfect pairing with coffee.
This REALLY is a great option if you have vegetarians in your party; but do not be fooled the meat is to die for. The Beef Kabob was perfection!
I'm thinking about making this my Friday night outing; every Friday! Amazing!!!

My New Favorite Place in Denver. I tried Phoenician Kabob for the first time tonight with a large group and it was absolutely as fantastic as everyone said it would be. We had several small children in our party, and they had a great time too. Because it was Saturday night, they also had a belly dancer after dinner which was very entertaining and the kids loved it. We had a wide variety from their menu, including 3 appetizers, which were all great. This may be the best hummus I've tried in Denver. The fouel was also absolutely delicious! If you like beef, the beef kabobs were great, as were the kofta kabobs. The chicken shawarma was also very good. I would highly recommend this place, even if you've never had middle eastern food before, you will enjoy!

I had the pleasure of dining with my friend Rachel for the fifth annual Feast on the Fax last night. This event promotes businesses on East Colfax and is a great way to sample the restaurants in the area. This event is put on by the FAX Partnership, as we

As far as Middle Eastern food in Denver goes, much of it is concentrated around the I-25 and Colorado region, a little out-of-the way for me. So when Phoenician Kabob was opened last year on East Colfax by a family of Lebanese descent, I was excited to ge
