Back in the day this was a mob hangout and had some of the best Italian food in town. I had not eaten there in years until I stopped by for lunch the other day and it was terrific! Best Clams and linguine I have had in a long time. It is on the 'Mob Tours ' in Denver and probably worth it. Back on my list of favorites.

Excellent service the hostess was amazing. We didn't have a reservation, there were no tables for atleast an hour. She got my party of five a table in 20 minutes. The chef brought a complementary appetizer to the table. The chicken parmesan is enough for two people and delicious. Great place definately a place I'm going back to.

Coming from Wisco where I raged Madison and Milwaukee for years this is easily the greatest bloody bar I’ve ever had for the money. Beyond worth it. Just go. Trust me.

Celebrating a birthday and we made a reservation and we’re immediately sat down at a great table. Food was amazing! Staff were amazing and the drinks were flowing. I was the DD so don’t worry I was served great coffee and water.

This place is outstanding. The food is top-notch. I got the chicken Parmigiana. It was amazing. It was a lot be prepared for leftovers. My husband got the chicken marsala, and he said it was fantastic. We shared the tiramisu, and it was a wonderful finish to our meal. The only negative is that I ran out of my drink halfway through the meal, and our server didn't refill it. Otherwise, 100% will go back and highly recommend.

Gaetanos is a Denver icon. Emerging out of Denver's hazy northside history there has always existed the impression that somehow Gaetanos was connected to some of the more nefarious and lawless Denver families. Whether that's true or not, I'll have to leave that to the historians. What I do know is that I had a fantastic made to order Italian meal, a couple of good stiff drinks, and old school atmosphere. Gaetano's can be a lot of fun.

Fantastic Italian food and desserts, especially the seafood pasta options. The Tiramasu is insanely delightful and made in house.

My parents were visiting from out of town and really enjoyed this place. About $250 for 6 people, everything was delicious. Family favorites were definitely the tiramisu and the calamari that also had jalapeños mixed in.

Old school gem! The service is so great. The happy hour menu is small, but contains all of the classics including an excellent wedge salad & shishito peppers. The chicken parmesan was generous and very delicious. The beverages were good too. The recommended Chianti pairing with the chicken parm was spot on.

This is a cool restaurant for Italian food. Lots of history in Denver and with the mob. (Check out the restroom for mob photos). I had lunch and picked the smaller size option of spaghetti, which came with one meatball. I liked it. I also had tiramisu for dessert, which was okay. They have a parking lot and there is also street parking available.

We had time to spare before a dinner reservation close by - so popped in for a snack and a cocktail. Can't wait to go again for dinner, as we loved the environment! Felt like we had been thrown into time with Italian memorabilia sprinkled throughout! Our appetizer was accompanied by a marinara VERY reminiscent of my Sicilian grandmother!! So delish! The server was chatty and friendly. Super fun!

This has become my special occasion spot. I love the booths (which are spacious for a group of 4). I’ve tried most things on the menu and the food is always great. I’ve enjoyed branching out and ordering the specials. The team there shows they truly care and it makes the experience perfect.

I'm Sicilian and grew up with authentic homemade Italian food...so Italian places are hard for me. Gaetanos was a joy to go to...great atmosphere. Like old time Chicago. The garlic bread and sauce is outstanding. And a good sauce in a restaurant is hard to find...this one is great with a little bite to it which I love. We ordered meatballs for an appetizer...they were very good. Probably the best yet at a restaurant. I had chicken picatta...I thought the sauce was too runny and the chicken wasn't as moist and juicy as I expected but all the flavors were there. We also ordered lasagna...my husband loved it...very flavorful. We had a bite of our friends chicken parmesan and it was also very good. The lemon cake was good but the cannolis were outstanding. Don't let the orange flavor put you off you can hardly taste it. I loved this place and am happy to say I finally have a regular spot to go to. Looking forward to trying more of their menu next time. We've been back a number of times since my first review...their sausage is outstanding, loster ravioli is exceptional and gnocchi was amazing. My fav place to eat Italian BY FAR.

It is one of the best restaurant atmospheres I've experienced in a very long time! The food is fantastic; the service is impeccable. The bar has a great selection. They make the drinks old style. They don't use permade mixers. The whiskey sours are fantastic. If you're a fan of veal parmesan, you will not be disappointed! Treat yourself to a wonderful experience. Make a reservation, or you'll need to luck out and dine at the bar. Goodfellas atmosphere meets great food!

Great restaurant. Staff was very rushed, which may have been expected on Christmas eve. Big disappointment to end up with spicy hot food. As an Italian myself, I never think of Italian food as spicy, unless you are getting sausage or peppers. The minestrone and the bolognase were both way too spicy to enjoy. No indication was given on the menu or by the staff that these dishes were made that way.

By far the best Italian in Denver! You will not be disappointed by any means. Authentic Italian dishes, perfectly created drinks and a wine list that is especially paired to each plate. Perfect!

Maybe this isn't a big deal for everyone and the only reason I didn't rate it a 5, but the 4% surcharge to help support the kitchen staff to enable them to make a livable wage. Pay your staff a livable wage! Raise your prices if necessary. As you can see it isn't inexpensive to eat here, you are making enough to pay your staff accordingly.

My wife and I had an awesome experience last night. I hadn't been to Gaetano's in a while, and it did not disappoint at all. The food was amazing, and the atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back.
