I've visited Roaming Buffalo on two occasions. The first time I landed in Denver from Los Angeles and wanted to grab some food so my buddies and I decided on BBQ. We were not disappointed by our decision to eat there. Los Angeles has a strong BBQ game, but this beat anything I've had in LA hands down. The second time I visited was after a 16 hour drive to Denver because of my love for their BBQ. My buddy left something in Denver and wanted to go back and I offered to help drive if we stopped by at The Roaming Buffalo. The 36 hour trip (16+hrs both ways and a stop in Colorado Springs) was well worth it all because of this place. The hospitality was awesome - they remembered us from our visit 4 months prior and to this day remember us and it's been over a year since we visited - because of the great staff there and their overall friendliness. The food itself was amazing. I never had bison until I ate there, but when I did I instantly fell in love with that place. I've had dreams about that place. The brisket is awesome. The short ribs are awesome. The sausage they had was awesome. Everything was great. Even the music choice (Modest Mouse) felt like it was tailored for me. The sauces, my god the sauces, are some of the best I've ever had at any BBQ joint. This was more of an experience than a meal. I feel like this place is a little piece of Denver that was tailor made for me. Heck, the second time I visited I saw snow for the first time. It was awesome. I'm sure it was the people at the restaurant that made it snow. Had to have been. Anyways, I'm going back to Denver sometime in 2017 and it's gonna be to visit The Roaming Buffalo again. $300+ on gas and 32+ hours driving? No problem for this place.

I expected a large restaurant. That's not the case. It's small but nice. They do have a small enclosed area that would otherwise serve as a patio. Parking is limited and off street. They have good prices for ample portions, plus the food is excellent. I recommend eating here!

Food had a general theme of having a lack of flavor, but the smoke was definitely there. Bison ribs were not that tender and kind of dry, the price was very fair. There is only a handful of places I know that sell bison ribs so it was still worth trying Roaming Buffalos take on it. The pulled lamb was juicy but had a lack of seasoning. The cornbread and Mac and cheese were disappointing. Service was great and the staff were very nice and attentive. Just wish the BBQ had better flavor, sadly that is a trend with the Denver BBQ I have tried thus far.

This place is absolutely phenomenal some of the best barbecue I've ever had in my life. Better than lots of places in KCMO, Dallas and Memphis. I enjoyed the Real McCoy sandwich, incredible presentation, taste, texture and smell. This sandwich is an absolute UNIT. The staff was incredibly friendly, personable and gracious. Joking with patrons, offering free samples. Just a great vibe on this place. I'll be telling everyone about this place. Incredible!

Roaming buffalo barbecue is by far the best barbecue in all of Denver! Not only is their food delicious, but their staff is extremely kind and helpful, we stopped in today and John, Adam and Gilbert were all there smiling and happy to help us! Had to take some of the world's best Mac n cheese for the road! A must try!!

I've been eating at this place for over 5 years. I would say this place is still pretty good, but definitely not as good as it used to be. Really this place is hit or miss for me now. Some times I think it's the best BBQ in Denver and other times it's just good enough for me to not ask for my money back. My favorite thing about this place is their variety on the menu. The lamb may be my favorite menu item. Get here early, you have been warned. They sell out fast daily.

Went in to celebrate my fathers birthday and they did not disappoint! The mac and cheese was delicious and the beef brisket was too! We loved that they asked if we wanted lean or fatty beef and if we wanted sliced or chopped portions. The turkey and pork ribs were also awesome. We were met by nothing but kind smiling faces and the gentleman who helped us most - Hennrick or 'Hen' he said- was absolutely chivilrous and made my dads birthday lovely.

Small neighborhood BBQ restaurant with biggggg flavors. So when we walked in the young lady at the register had absolutely no Idea whats going on and I thought god this is going to be a disaster. They were also out of venison and lamb at noon on Sunday which was another hit for us since thats was the reasonto we wanted to try this restaurant. Anyway, It took almost 40 minutes for our food the get ready which was weird because bbq is always ready to go and takes only few minutes to serve and the delay made me more nervous. So the food arrived and the 2 McCoy sandwiches were 2 different sizes, 1 huge and full of meat and the other small and had les than half of the meat( check out my pictures) But after we started eating wowwww everything changed and we were so happy, what an amazing food wowwww . We ordered 2 McCoy sandwiches and absolutely loved it. We also ordered a 3 meat plate and everything tasted amazing. We will definitely go back for more very soon. I definitely recommend this place to BBQ lovers. Thank you Roaming Buffalo for our wonderful sunday lunch.
