Review North County - Denver

We came here for dinner on a Friday night. I ordered the 3 tacos for $18 with a Paloma soda. My fiance had the bowl with pork and a Jack and coke. The tacos were very good. The tortillas are decent size, home made. The bowl was pretty big. The salsa the tacos come with is meh, but I did ask for other salsa they had in bottles which is spicy! It almost feels like my mom is in the kitchen cooking! By far this has been a really good place for Mexican food, I haven’t really found anything else in Colorado that is as authentic… I am back for a 2nd time! I got the same tacos except for 1–tried the pork belly. I didn’t think the pork belly was anything special. But everything else was 10/10.

Awesome place and awesome flavor. Food was delicious. Can't wait to go back. The elote is a must. The tacos yum, no need to add any salsa, the flavor does not need to be drowned out by adding salsa its already delicious. The nachos were great, definitely ordered quite a bit of items to try out and they definitely did NOT disappoint. The atmosphere and the servers were nice and friendly. Went during happy hour and the drinks were good too, had the strawberry margarita with the chili rim, definitely recommend.

Dog friendly delicious California style Mexican food. I would go here again, solely for the filet mignon taco. It is incredible. Everything I had was good, but that taco, boy howdy.

Fun spot with cool decor and great food. Service always friendly. Rarely have to wait for a table. Outdoor and indoor seating available.

My burger was delicious. My cousin said her California burrito was not amazing, but fine. Nachos didn't come out as an appetizer, but with the rest of the food. Had to ask several times for certain things, like another drink. But the wait staff was very pleasant and polite.

The blackened grilled fish tacos are just like what you find in North County. The night we went they had Mahi, Snapper, Salmon and Swordfish. Simple and Amazing!

Real nice staff. I was concerned with the beef and pork being cooked in the same place, big shout of to Daniel for helping me choose the right dish. For everyone curious the fish and chicken are cooked on the barbecue, so no cross contamination with pork.

Food and service were good. We came for the first time and got a variety. Only thing that disappointed was the grilled shrimp and fried fish tacos. Fish wasn’t crispy and the shrimp had no flavor.

Waitress was friendly and on it for service. Taco Tuesday is $1 off each taco. I got 4 different tacos, all good n tasty. They were out of Negra Modelo, 😐, but I got an IPA instead.

Delicious tacos, will have to come again because so many items on the menu look good. Perfect end to a day at the museum.

Nice location. Food was tasty. A bit pricey although price includes service tip. The beer battered fish taco was my favorite (no picture). Oysters were blahh- nothing special & not worth $3.50 each. Pork belly taco was overfilled with corn & didn’t taste like pork belly at all. 3.7/5.

This great southern California style taco spot has amazing tacos. We were at the museum around the corner and stopped in for lunch. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was delicious! I highly recommend stopping in if you're a fan of tacos!

I like this place because it’s not typical Mexican style food. It’s something different and delicious! We went on Sunday when it was happy hour 3-6, and learned they have a Sunday funday special. So it was a win!

This restaurant in Lowry has good Mexican-style food and menu items, an open and interesting decor to the interior, and friendly and attentive service. The food prices are a bit on the pricey side (think downtown Denver prices, even though it's not downtown Denver) but the portions are big enough to share. Plenty of seating inside and outside, as well as free parking adjacent to the restaurant that is shared with other neighboring restaurants.

It's good. It's trendy. It has Tequila. Nothing spectacular here, but not every place is supposed to be spectacular. Sometimes it is just supposed be reliably good, reasonably priced and super convenient.

Loved everything about this place - from hipster tacos to trendy vibe! We had excellent service and even better food!

This restaurant is nearby my parents home and my family and I have actually been here several times. I want to start by saying I would have probably given 5 stars if this were the first or second time I visited. I do think their food is typically very good. The most recent time we came however was to celebrate my sons 3rd birthday 🎉 at the end of February. Unfortunately we probably got the worst service we have experienced at North County during this trip. It did look like they were understaffed as our waiter had to switch out and make drinks for other tables. Ordering took a long time, water wasn’t immediately brought to the table and the glasses and cups seemed dirty. My mother also ordered a chipotle sauce on the side for her Benedict and they still put it directly on the dish. We also waited a long time to get the check as I had time to walk my toddler all around the area before we could leave. I usually don’t ding too badly for service issues but this was a lot of things that went wrong. My review of the food was that it was mostly still pretty good. The beer battered fish taco with fruit salsa is something I get here quite often and it remains delicious. I also enjoyed a very flavorful pork taco and the sauce and accompaniments were very tasty. One thing I didn’t find worth it was the more expensive Filet Mignon taco. Unfortunately the meat was overdone and honestly I didn’t think it was a piece of filet it seemed more like regular steak to me. It wasn’t a tender juicy bite like I expected. I do know that North County can do better than what we experienced so I am giving 4 stars but our most recent visit was more like 2.5-3 stars if I am being honest.

YUM! High quality Mexican & seafood! We got the ahi tuna burrito bowl, California burrito, and lobster tacos. The poke bowl and lobster tacos were bomb! I subbed mezcal in their sterling silver coin margarita and it was great!

Love this place. Staff was excellent. We were a party of 4, 2 of us had the strawberry lemonade & citron vodka soda....it was fabulous. Another had the grapefruit margarita also delicious. The food is simple with great flavors. We tried several different dishes...Baja taco, shrimp& crab enchiladas, vegetable taco....everything was outstanding. We sat outside, it was a beautiful night. I must say...one of things I loved the most had nothing to do with food or drink, they are very dog friendly. There were a few dogs there that we so well behaved & and adorable (in the outside seating area) I have been traveling for about a month and miss my fur babies so that was a nice treat

The service was great! Everyone was friendly. The food was mediocre. The carne asada fries are what made it worth it but the green chili they offer for a dollar more you can skip , not much flavor at all. My husband got 4 tacos and they were really small for the price. The only one he really liked was the pastor and even that one he wasn't over impressed. The chicken was okay but a bit bland and he got two more I forget which ones. I got the torta and it really wasn't very good. There were too many flavors I think and didn't mix very well. We will probably never return , part of that is because we are in aurora and it's not worth the drive. The other part is because it's pretty over priced for small portions and not great food.

I love North County. it's a block away from my house. always have the best meals here. the only time there has ever been an issue, you make it right. you have the best staff. had the best brunch there this morning. thank you so much! also, even though she wasn't our server, met Angela this morning and her fabulous personality made our morning! also loved chatting with India, she was cleaning tables, etc. our food came out fast and was so good. thank you for providing the best food in Lowry! Our server Abiemael was very friendly. PS. your manager, (who is always there by the way) was totally jamming to Adele this morning from across the way on the patio. Like with his whole body. just saying :)

I’m beyond disappointed in this establishment. After spending several hours trying to get ahold of someone at this restaurant only to find that there phone was off the hook for 4 hours. I finally spoke to the worst manager I have ever dealt with! I have invited 13 people to attend my birthday dinner and was told that even for large parties they will not take a reservation. I spoke with a very rude woman who kept insisting that I call back on the day of to see if the other manager would accommodate us. She continued to treat me like I was an idiot and would not budge or help me to find a solution. This policy is so silly considering I even offered to pay to hold our reservations. I will not be frequenting this establishment nor will I recommend it to any of my friends or family. Unfortunately my birthday will have to be spent at another restaurant not spending my money here! Unless you enjoy being treated like another number or like you are not cool enough to eat here I would suggest you find another place to dine!

We did a four taco plate so that we could sample 4 different tacos. Brisket taco was the best. Fish taco, zucchini taco, and chicken tinga were runner ups. Nice place, clean floors, service was excellent, will probably return again for meatloaf night.

Great and authentic food!! I'm from California and never had found a place like this good there.

I was impressed by the brunch. Great options and very tasty. The lunch and dinner options are good but nothing mind-blowing. Happy hour is great. Overall, this is a great Lowry option.

We were just visiting the area and noticed a pretty cool little hot spot and pleasantly surprised by the bomb tacos and amazing salad. Salad had Gouda cheese and sliced dates in it! It was like like little orgasms for your taste buds! 😊

Meh is all I really have to say. The carne asada fries were delicious and the churros and coconut flan were amazing. However, the sad little tiny baby tacos you get are only okay for the price you pay. They were lacking in any real distinguishable flavor. My husband and I each got different ones and they all tasted the same - this is ranging from tilapia to chicken to brisket. Nothing really stood out at all. Would go back for appetizers and dessert. Service was great. Tacos were sad.

Had the best waiter can't recall his name, the food was delicious and perfect. I think next time just drinks and tacos.

Good spot for street taco's and its just around the corner from my house! Bartender was nice and made a good drink! Will definitely return for that breakfast burrito
