Review The Pig & The Sprout - Denver

This place was pretty good. Not like the best ever, but pretty good. My husband got the green chile poutine, but it was very wet. I got the brisket dip, and it was good. The staff were all very nice, if maybe not the fastest. And the restaurant seemed a little empty and quiet for a Saturday night.

Food was great and menu had a good variety of options. Drinks were very good! Service was a little slow because we waited longer than expected given we were one of 4 groups in the restaurant, but it may have been because of the amount of staffing at that time (12-1pm on a Thursday).

Nice place for brunch. I would recommend it for anyone in the area looking for some brunch. I tried the eggs Benedict and have definitely had better. The atmosphere was relaxed with indoor seating and patio seating along with indoor bar and outdoor bar seating. I will definitely have to come back to try more of the items on the menu.

Atmosphere for brunch was great and great deal for bottomless mimosas! The breakfast burrito was a bit hard to bite into on the ends due to so much tortilla and not enough sauce. But overall was good!

I put off writing this review for a few days as I wanted to think on it and not immediately post out of frustration. But my feelings haven’t changed. We were visiting Denver for about 4 days and we stayed right across the street from this restaurant. One night we left the kids and went out to eat. 2 adults only. As we were walking up to the restaurant at 8pm we noticed an employee cleaning up the patio which we then asked them if they were open. The gentleman confirmed they were indeed open. I know it was a Wednesday night, and I know that downtown Denver is not what it use to be, but when we went in we were the only ones there. We should have left then and came back at a busier time but we didn’t. From 8-9pm it all went down hill. Drinks were ordered first and then food. Food was ok and concept is great. Pig on one side of the menu and vegan in the other. I just couldn’t help feeling like we were getting in the way of closing. We did get our food and it was fine. We also got a second order of drinks with a “fare warning” that the bar was closed. Final straw was asking for Dessert and being told the kitchen was closed for the night. Lose lose !!!! And all of this is happening before 9pm!! The waitress seemed to not care at all and definitely became more and more annoyed as the dinner went on. Like I said it started out great and the quickly turned bad. Telling customers you are open until 10pm and then closing down by 9pm is frustrating. I feel like the employees should have told us from the start what the plan was for that night.

Stopped by here right when they opened at 11 after getting off the train from union station. Delicious burger. The brisket dip was so good my husband inhaled it before I could get a good picture 😂

Enjoyed our waiter Seanny, our tacos were delicious and fresh and our drinks were great. Craft margarita!

The staff took our party of 6 very well, and handled all of our requests easily. The jalapeno cornbread was amazing, I got them to put grenadine and cherries in my diet Coke, which was great. The menu is awesome and it's cool that they have so many vegan and vegetarian options. I got the tofu lettuce wraps and those were really good but hard to pick up. The servers were very friendly and helpful. And the price was great.

If you need a place where there are options for people with or without dietary restrictions, but also have great tasting food for a decent price The Pig & The Sprout is the way to go. Food & service was great, quick to get seated and helped, all while great music played in the background .

Our service was wonderful! Super quick and friendly. The food was really tasty. The ribs were a little dry but nothing too crazy. Still yummy. I loved the cold brew martini. I’d love to come back and try different dishes.

Loved their menu, cute little place downtown. Very friendly staff. The lettuce wraps were to die for. They have great veg options too.

Nice place to visit. Food was delicious! I had the brisket dip and it was extremely tasty. The bread was perfect. The cheese to meat ratio was also great. The fries were cooked perfectly.

Came here for the Brisket breakfast poutine topped with 2 eggs- Boy was it worth it! Cool vibe overall! Also did bottomless mimosas of course & only OJ was available. The Pig & Sprout omlet was delicious, but the chicken & waffles definitely needed an upgrade. Compared to most chicken & waffles in the city, this is at the bottom of my list. The waffles were overcooked & the chicken was barely seasoned. Will definitely be back!

Overall pleasant experience. The vibe & decor is fun! The fried green tomatoes were our favorite part of the meal. A great contrast between the tangy, acidic sauce & the battered tomato. We also enjoyed a watermelon salad, which helped offset how heavy the sandwiches were. The pork belly sliders were a miss for us, overtly sweet with the apple sauce, and too fatty to be paired with such rich bread. Overall, pleasant, & could be great for hanging out with friends!

Fantastic service and amazing food. Half the menu is meat based and the other half vegetarian- loads of options for parties that need options. We were a party of 3, but a few large parties were in house and we have zero issues with ticket times. The server kept our drinks full and was very patient with ordering multiple courses and with multiple checks. I cannot emphasize how fantastic the food was. We had vegetarian poutine and breakfast burritos, all came out quick, flavorful, and fantastic value.

Five of us had an amazing taste experience last Friday evening. We sampled over 12 items, sharing, laughing and enjoying every bite! We decided that you can probably just close your eyes and point at anything on the menu and you won't be disappointed. The owner/chef was so hospitable and shared his love of ingredients and prep that went into each dish. A definite "return here soon" place!!

New favorite spot in Denver. What a concept. They cater to both meat and veggie folks. Usually u find a place with one veggie option, but here the vegetarian will have to make a choice from multiple deliciousness. Wine list is excellent as well as sours on tap! Top notch staff. Great environment. Come see what everyone is raving about!

My friend and I came in for brunch and we were very disappointed. We both ordered a bloody mary with the chicken with waffles. I wish I had tried the poutine, but hindsight. I ordered sunny side up eggs and had a side order of gravy. My eggs were overcooked, the gravy had a thick layer of crust on top, the cheese sauce was also very thick. The bloody mary mix is bland and the bacon wasn't very good either. The server brought us a container of syrup that was almost empty and by the time she came back to check on us so we could ask for more syrup our food was cold. We never got a water refill. Poor food and poor service.

I had big expectations, especially with the word Pig in the name. Sadly, we were underwhelmed. First off, we were excited to have the chicken sandwich we saw on Instagram. We showed up on a Saturday and it was brunch menu only. Ok. No worries. My husband was disappointed but we were too hungry to leave. I ordered the Poutine with brisket. Tasty. Very flavorful. But there was no brisket. The kitchen forgot it. I mentioned it to the waitress and was brought out a bowl of brisket. It was very good but would've been better on the Poutine. My husband ordered a side of bacon and was completely disappointed. $4 for 3 - 1/2 slices!? And it was thin! I get better bacon at Costco. And it wasn't locally sourced (the waitress actually had no clue where they got their bacon). Portions small, especially in the meat area. The restaurant itself is gorgeous. Like I said, we had high expectations and hopes. Sadly I don't know if I can talk my husband back into going for the chicken sandwich. Maybe in a few more months things will get ironed out. The Denver brunch scene is fierce. They need to step up their game.

We went there for dinner and shared 4 small plates. It was A LOT of food for the price and the food was so good. We highly recommend the brussel sprouts! Also they have a great beer list!

Great food, friendly service. Seemed like it was maybe understaffed tonight when we were there. Everything we had was delicious-green chili poutine, wings, and the brisket sandwich with sautéed spinach. I would highly recommend this place. We will be back!

Nice brunch spot. We tried two of their adaptations of a Moscow Mule that were both good. I ordered what was supposed to be smoked trout on a bagel with cream cheese, but I'm fairly sure it was lox. Could have done with a little more fish for the price but it was good. The wife got the brisket eggs benedict. While not on her Mount Rushmore of benedicts (she gets it pretty much every time at brunch), she said it was tasty. Service was a bit slow but tolerable.

Was there for brunch before the Rockies game. Some of the food was great. I had the chicken and waffles and would not recommend it. But others at the table had great food. I also had the bacon bloody Mary which was amazing. The wings were amazing also!!!

Went there today for the first time and I loved everything about it. The service, food, and ambiance are on point. Really great happy hour menu with something for anyone. Cannot wait to go back and try the many other options!

Amazing place with the coolest atmosphere, delicious bacon-infused plates, including candied bacon! Pride in ownership throughout!

Fantastic meal and great service! Highly recommend the bacon candy!

Pig and the Sprout is great - except when they switch your husbands burger and your veggie burger like a sick joke literally marked “veggie” on the one that was the cow
