I have got to say this has been the best sushi I’ve had so far here in Denver. It is the freshest fish if tasted since I’ve moved from California. I will be coming here more often then I should. To be honest, I expected it to be a lot more pricier as well since I’ve been to other “fancier” sushi spots around cherry creek and university. It did not compare. To top it off, the sushi was much better here, it was mind blowing. I will be recommending/bringing people to this place from Cali moving forward.

I didn't know what to expect. Went on a triple-date. Their cucumber martini was delicious. The Hawaiian poké was great but their sushi was fantastic. The eel sashimi literally melted in my mouth. Satisfying visit.

Had an awesome dinner for two last night at Sushi Sasa. Sushi Sasa remains one of my favorite sushi restaurants in Denver. We recently took a friend there for dinner who also loved the food and ambience. Last night’s service was flawless from the moment we were greeted, seated, served and table intermittently bussed. We had an early dinner with only a few tables in the front seated, then suddenly the house was full. Everyone hustled but never gave you the impression they were too busy for you. Rolls and nigiri were fresh and delicious. I’ve loved this place for years and intend to return.

Oddly enough, my friend and I were sat in a darker back room away from the other guests. We could hear our waiter talking about us to the other staff members. That wasnt cool. Made us feel a bit odd and out of place, BUT THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. Shout out to the chefs. You are doing your job perfectly 💞

SO GOOD. Everything was delicious -- the drinks, sushi, dessert -- and the atmosphere calm and quiet. Highly recommend the chocolate mousse dessert! Would absolutely come here again.

I believe this is probably one of the top 3 sushi places I've been to. But this has the best Japanese fried rice which really pushed the rating up. I find the edamame and sushi rolls we had to be adequate, fried rice to be one of the best I've ever had and dessert to be very delicious. The staff was attentive and the atmosphere is nice but sometimes a little too noisy depending on people sitting around you. Located near downtown, the restaurant is easy to get to. Value proposition-wise, I thought the rolls we ordered were probably unjustifiable both in portion and flavour. They were decent, but I didn't feel satisfied thinking that was well worth the experience. I got more value out of fried rice and edamame than anything. This is a must-try place if you're a fan of Japanese food and sushi with somewhat high-end ingredients. I thought it was great overall.

The absolute best sushi in Denver. Don’t bother going anywhere else. We’ve also tried plenty of sushi on both coasts & never had anything that compared. They fly their fish in daily so it’s always fresh. It’s pricey but worth it. The Pink Lady is my favorite.

Started off woth a Kirin Ichiban (22oz) and the waiter poured it for me. But did a horrible job. 2" of head. Order the Hamachi Jalapeño (6pcs)($20) fantastic taste, enough for four people to share. Also go the Sasa Trio ($22) incredibly satisfying dish. Also, enough for 4 people to enjoy. We then ordered several rolls. Rocky mountain roll is worth it! Try the dip. And the strawberry shortcake roll was oddly named but well liked. The Toro was perfect. The unagi was great. And for dessert we got the tempura cheesecake and the Wasabi Tiramisu. Both were great. The cheese cake had good texture, the batter was a bit oily. And the ice cream was really enjoyed. The Tiramisu was a shock for a few at the table. Not your traditional version of the dessert. But the espresso matched flawlessly with the Wasabi. All in all a great dinner. $280+tip included 4 drinks, 2 starters, several sets of rolls and 2 desserts. Make it a point to go. Get reservations! Update 1 year later. We (4) returned. Angela saved the day when a newbie server couldn't handle his tables. Dinner took 3 hours and the food tasted great!

Absolutely wonderful experience with the food as well as a service staff! Our server was relatively new and she knew so much and you could tell that she had been through a ton of training. The quality of the fish is amazing and there’s a really great amount of selection to choose from, whether you’re going to sashimi, nigiri, or rolls. They even have a wasabi tiramisu!

Regarding my reviews on Google Maps. Since Google doesn't provide any kind of guidelines on the expectations of what a 5 star rating requires or means. That makes it difficult person to person to decipher what "good" or "great" is. Let alone that one persons 3 star rating is another's 5 star experience. That being said. I eat out a lot and at some pretty nice places. I've recently decided to review each place I eat and add pictures. I will comment on the things that are important to me for a restaurant or other establishment to have a high rating. For me the following are important when rating a restaurant. 1) Cleanliness overall including the bathrooms 2) Service and staff behavior 3) Food and beverage quality 4) Prices (I do not put a lot of emphasis on price if all other aspects meet my expectations I'm willing to pay) 5) Atmosphere (this is obviously in the eye of the beholder) I hope this makes my reviews more helpful and meaningful to all users I dined here alone. It appears they are still not seating anyone at the sushi bar itself. I made a reservation through open table and everything went fine with that. They say me at a table close to the entrance. My server was new and just out of training she did a great job. I started with their Japanese Old Fashioned. Oops times 2. The drink was well made with a single large cube as I requested. I think my server made it as it seemed precisely measured. They do give you a time restriction of 1.5 hours for a table for one. I don't really care for that but it worked out ok. The spicy edamame was delicious. The available fish list was adequate. There was no "aburi" option listed on the menu but I asked my server and it was available for certain cuts of fish. I had my fatty tuna done aburi style. All the sushi was delicious. The atmosphere is a little plain and stark for my taste. If someone asked me to go there again I would definitely go no problem. Good Drinks, Great Sushi
