Exceeded my high expectation! Walked in and asked the owner to bring me a dish that represented his place and that I like spice. He brought a thick jerk lamb stew with sides-- and an oversized order of sweet drop dough donuts. A cold themed beer and my evening was complete.
The food was amazing and the service even better!!! The owner was very friendly and helped us choose our entrees and we both loved the dishes we had (coconut stew and bean stew, both with chicken). Highly recommend trying this restaurant
Amazing authentic African food. The owner is great and always willing to talk about African culture and cuisine. A bit pricey but all of the food is made in house fresh and beverages are imported. Try the Malta Guinness drink from Ghana!
Yum! My husband and I were visiting from Florida when we visited this place for the first time. The service was excellent. We were immediately greeted with a smile and waited on by the owner. He was helpful in explaining the dishes and making recommendations. The food took a bit of time to come out. But it wasnt terribly long and it's to be expected when food is being prepared fresh! The food was delicious. My husband paired his meal with a fresh ginger beer and I washed my meal down with an ice cold Ghanan beer. We also saw the co owner, the wife, who cooks the food and we were able to thank her for the delicious meal. Great family owned restaurant with authentic west African cuisine.
Fantastic place we stumbled upon. It’s a casual place in a brand new strip mall. They have some bar seating, large dining area, and a small dance floor section where a band could play.
Bar has beer and wine including some W or E African lagers that I’ve never seen before.
Varied menu with poultry, beef, and fish options. Of course there are veggie options too. Had a sample platter that included rice, plantain, okra, beef, and chicken. Also had a meat pie. Dishes are salty but oh so good.
Give em a try. You won’t be disappointed.
This is an amazing restaurant. The owner of the establishment, Osea (sorry if I misspelled) greeted us with a smile, making some recommendations and bringing plenty of food. He was very friendly, and told me to try the beef samosas, and he did not disappoint. They were heavenly. This restaurant is perfect for people who like African cuisine with a fun, family friendly vibe, and music live from Ghana.
This is by far one of the BEST African restaurant I have ever ate at... I’m here on vacation and was craving some good authentic food. I found them online and because of the reviews I stepped out on faith and gave it a try seeing how good people spoke of the food. NO LIE I’m sitting here so full and happy to have come here. It is a little pricey but it’s worth it. I ordered the “spicy curry oxtail w/ wakye rice, fried plantains.” (If you can’t take the heat DONT GET its spice level was 🌶🌶🌶) but it’s very delicious. And I’m ordering to go cassava leaf chicken and white rice w/side of plantains. !!!!! I’m from Dallas Texas and this is not a false review if you happen to be from Dallas and read this it’s better than Elaine’s kitchen lol ( Elaine’s kitchen is a highly recommended Jamaican restaurant) anyone from Dallas would know what I mean. Hope you enjoy 😊 😁🤟🏾✊🏾
-ps they don’t serve ice with water ( way I like anyway) and they don’t bug you and come to the table every 10 secs while you’re eating.
The food is amazing. They offer a variety of dishes from all over Africa. I try something different every time and have never been disappointed. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
Food here was very good although service is slightly slow. My brother and i didnt really know what to order and were going back and forth on getting the cabbage stew and one more dish. The boss lady came out of the kitchen and settled the situation for us. She asked, what meat you want, beef, chicken or lamb? We said lamb. You like spinach? Yes we do. Alright. So she cooked up something really delicious for us. Portions were huge. Slightly on the more salty side. You have to eat it with a lot of rice. The sambosa was very delicious and I would highly recommend those.
Very good food, service, and ambience. I highly recommend the okra plate. The plantains were nicely cooked. Not fried hard like most places.

First time truck driver passing through. I ordered the cabbage stew with oxtail meat and white rice. I was bummed i didn't get plantains but that's ok. The food was really good. From a jamaican family i loveeeee jamaican food but this was really good. Cabbage stew was nicely flavored. Oxtails weren't bad. Cooked differently than I'm used too but good. I really enjoyed my meal.
My complaint would be i hardly got any oxtails. Needed more cabbage stew. A lot of rice as expected but little meat. I forgot to order my beef patties and plantains so i will be back. Happy customer! 😊
Got the sampler platter for two and it was super yummy and very satisfying. My husband especially loved it because he got to finish what I couldn't. The rice, the plantains, samosas, African bread, yam, and goat stew were ALL scrumptious. Oh and the ginger juice was unexpectedly pleasant too!
