From the moment we stepped into Shanahan’s, it was clear we were in for a treat. The atmosphere was inviting, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience.
We started with the Lobster Bisque and French Onion Soup, both of which were a symphony of flavors, perfectly balanced and deeply satisfying. The bisque was creamy with generous chunks of lobster, and the onion soup had just the right amount of cheese, beautifully melted and golden.
The main course, a bone-in filet mignon, was cooked to perfection. Each bite was a melt-in-your-mouth experience, showcasing the high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. Accompanying the steak, the Truffle Mac and Cheese was a revelation – creamy, rich, and infused with the luxurious aroma of truffles.
But what truly set this meal apart was the service. Our server, Maddy, was exceptional. Her attention to detail, knowledge of the menu, and warm personality greatly enhanced our experience. She was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our evening was seamless.
In summary, Shanahan’s is a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-tier dining experience. The combination of exquisite food, a warm ambiance, and stellar service makes it a standout. We’ll certainly be back for more!!

This is my first time eating here, and I am super impressed. I loved seeing the Lombardi Trophies along with the rings. The NY strip was so good as was the cream of corn. Armando, our server, was awesome and helpful. I also liked that I didn't have to wear slacks to eat here. All around a great experience.

Great experience! Excellent service and great food! The portions are perfect for sharing on appetizers and sides. My steak was cooked to perfection and my boyfriends sea bass was delicious! Definitely a treat to come here.

Went there for special occasion, it's nice that they put something special on the table to enhance the experience, and gave us a surprise dessert to celebrate. While I appreciated all that, my meals were kind of hit and miss. No, we did not want to complain nor send the food back because it was personal preference. For example, there is something we could not figure out on carrot cakes that we just don't really care about. Similar thing with my fish. The ambiance is also more industrial than romantic for my taste. I was glad to get seated where I could see outside the window. But there was a big tent outside the window, so it's basically just a white background. And there was other personal thing that I personally like that I did not get to experience. On the other hand, other food we ordered were great. I also like the fact that their booth seats do not have a dip on it, and we got leftovers packaged for us, such thing a rarely nowadays even at restaurants that used to do that but not doing that anymore with their shortage of workers. In summary, Shanahan's Steakhouse is better than just good. It just not becomes one of my favorites.

From his presence, genuine smile and knowledge about the restaurant. Wow! Thank god I fly for work because I will come here just for this restaurant!

If I am lucky enough to be able to choose my last meal, it would be Shanahan’s homemade bread/whipped butter, 10 oz Filet Mignon medium rare, and berries and Chantilly cream…and then I’d die completely satisfied. From the front of house staff to the management they know how to make you feel special. There is honestly no better place in Denver to have a perfectly cooked steak. I will always pick Shanahan’s if it’s an option for date night!

My company celebrated our belated Christmas dinner last night. The service was excellent. Our waiter Phil was awesome. The appetizers were wonderful. None of our group of 10 people were disappointed with their orders. We had steaks, scallops, shrimp, lobster, Wagyu, crab legs and sides. It wasn’t cheap at $150 per person, including tip, but it was totally worth it!

It was a pleasure to have the opportunity of dining at Shanahan’s Steakhouse tonight. Grandpa Joe turned 80 so we celebrated in style on his special night. The food was incredible. For appetizers our table ordered the Chilled Dungeness Crab Cocktail, and the Point Judith Crispy Calamari. The crab was delicious paired with the Dijon aioli sauce. 🦀
For dinner I ordered the Center Barrel Cut Filet Mignon with the Hoisin Glazed Brussels Sprouts with bacon, and the Sautéed Wild Mushrooms. It’s worth mentioning the Brussel Sprouts we’re the tastiest dish from ALL of the sides plates we got to try. We had the crème brûlée for dessert 💎
Overall, 10/10 experience. Everything was perfect.

Just had our first experience here, celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary, the food and service was amazing! Comfortable seating, not overly "stuffy". Some people in jeans, others, like us, a bit dressier, but equally acceptable. A true finer steakhouse experience and will definitely return.

Denver best steakhouse in my opinion! If you have a special occasion this is the place to go. Very nice atmosphere, fantastic wagyu, and amazing service. They have an extensive wine selection, and some delicious desserts. Ask for Robert! He’s an outstanding waiter!

I struggled for weeks trying to decide on a spot for my birthday dinner. I knew I wanted a steakhouse that had both amazing steaks and great ambiance but reading through reviews, most places seemed to have one or the other. Shanahan’s reviews knocked most others out the park so we went for it and OMG I am SO glad we did. I ordered the Barrel Aged Fillet. To start, the cook was perfection…you know you’re getting a juicy steak cooked perfectly medium when the knife slides through like it’s butter. I paired mine with the black truffle butter and it was just a cherry on top for me. I find a lot of Denver’s food is lacking seasoning but baby this one did NOT. I’m still drooling over it. My table also ordered the bone-in fillet which they were equally as satisfied with and then my husband got the Wagyu. I wasn’t sure if mine could be topped but the Wagyu was truly chef’s kiss! Sides consisted of garlic mashed potatoes, loaded baked potato, and sweet potato. They were good. I loved the mashed potatoes and would get it again. Nothing crazy amazing about the baked potato and sweet potato… just your standard you’d get at any steakhouse. Our waitress was great. I’m having such a hard time remembering babes lately but it was something different and pretty…Jaycel I think. The ambiance had an elegant, but upbeat vibe. Not a single complaint for the night. We have been celebrating our anniversary at Ruth’s Chris for 11 years in a row. It’s our favorite. With that said, our experience at Shanahan’s was so delightful I think we might switch up our tradition.

I’m not easily pleased with “American” cuisine. I’m always turned off by the enormous portions and lack of true quality. BUT, the steak, as big as it was, — was ridiculously delicious!!! Although Nick was my favorite part. He made my husband and I laugh a lot as he shared his stories. He made it an “experience” just as much as the food did. He is rare. Like my steak — - jk. Medium rare on the steak obviously!!! ;) I highly recommend.

We were disappointed about the food.
My wife’s fish was dry. My chicken was tough and over cooked. My daughter’s steak was tough and not tender at all. I did taste all of them. The fries and the starters were great.
We were expecting lot better food than we ordered. Too bad. Maybe a bad day for the kitchen. People who recommended the place never complained about the food. But, I have to speak my mind and hopefully the kitchen will do better next time when we visit again.
The host desk and the service were impeccable. We were treated like kings.

Incredible food & service! The staff were all very attentive and anticipated our needs, even making special accommodations for a birthday in our group. Every item we ordered was flavorful and delicious, and the staff explained the menu items very well. We were not sure how kid-friendly it might be, but they offer a great kids menu and were great with interacting with our child. A very nice spot for a date night or special occasion!
