Cohee's 404 Restaurant And Grill

We had heard some good things about this restaurant from some friends. Of course, they had not been there for a couple of years. We decided to give them a try and brought another couple with us. Going to have to be honest: NONE of us were pleased with the food. My wife's crab cake was very dry and lacked any real flavor. My soft shell crabs were way over-cooked, and the servings were NOT big at all. The couple we brought with us felt the same way and didn't enjoy their meals either. For the price we paid (about $20 a plate, plus a drink), we unanimously agreed never again. Maybe some believe they have great food; We're not one of them. Truthfully, we would've had a much better meal at an inexpensive Diner.

I will give it 3 1/2 Stars. For the middle of nowhere, This wasn't bad food at all. Not much atmosphere, but the people were friendly. I got the special of 2 jumbo lump crab cakes with slaw & twiced baked potatoe. The crab cakes were awesome! The slaw had no flavor & the potato was over cooked & reheated. Yuk! My husband got the the special of rockfish stuffed with crab imperial. The fish was not seasoned, but the crab imperial had lots of flavor. The two together was pretty tasty. Another nice thing about this place is the full bar! Wine list not so great, so have an awesome margarita instead!

Owner has a bad attitude and so does the 1 out of 2 Waitress there. Went there today I asked for my bill to be adjusted because my steak tasted like nothing but char and crab imperial on top was full of shells she told me she would cover everything if I just never came back. I walked out and I will make sure everyone knows what a terrible place this is for customer service. This was our fourth time here and I was totally appalled by her statement. Not to mention I waited 15 minutes for drinks and menu. Would have had no problem paying an adjusted bill and still would have left a nice tip for the one waitress there with any decency. I had to get up and ask for silverware because they only gave me 1 set and I had my 2 daughters with me. Really disgusted with the service I received there today. Shame on them! Today was one of my daughters Birthday and she had her mind set on there to eat.
