This place is tucked back from the square and un-presumptuous from the exterior; yet it’s gorgeous once you step inside.
We made reservations and were quickly led to our table and warmly greeted by our server. She offered us our menus and told us to take our time.
I had the lemon sorbet gin cocktail (can’t remember the name) and it was fun to taste the difference while the sorbet melted.
We started with the Salt Block Steak Tartar and it was INCREDIBLE! The flavor combination was dreamy.
My husband had their soup special of Lobster Bisque and he said that it was incredible. Very creamy.
For entrees, I had the Tenderloin and it lived up to it’s name. The mashed potatoes actually impressed me (I’m generally not a fan), Brussel sprouts were good, and the green peppercorn sauce was one of my favorite sauces I’ve ever had.
My husband had the Chicken Saltimbocca, per our waitress’ advice, and was floored. He assumed he wouldn’t want to try chicken at a nice restaurant but he was wrong.
To finish we had the Flourless Chocolate Cake and it is now one of my favorite desserts that I’ve ever tried. I had a decaf coffee and my husband had one of their fancy Baileys coffee drinks.. both were really good as well.
Overall I would recommend dining here. It has a really romantic atmosphere where nothing feels rushed. I should also add that we waited an appropriate amount of time for all of our food; not too fast and certainly not for 45 minutes as some reviews have stated. This was a Saturday night. �
This place was absolutely sublime. The food was exquisite. Truffle Pomme Frites were to die for and we had the best burger of our lives. Service was great, great atmosphere and great menu. We will definitely be back.
Denton's fine dining choice. This is our go to date night, special celebration place. Of the 8 or so times we were there, the food has never disappointed. A good selection of wine and cocktails. The service can be hit or miss. We have had our waiter go missing. Expensive for Denton, but worth it. There are less expensive, casual options if you are not into the fine dining experience.

Hannahs. Love this little restaurant. The eggplant and crab appetizer is amazing. Took my twin sister for an early birthday. wonderful
This is by far the best food in Denton. The smoked salmon sampler with fruit and olives and cheese and bread is simply amazing. Their meatloaf (yes, meatloaf!) is one of the best dishes I've ever had. Their duck dish and sweet fruit pancakes were paired together so well. It's obvious that they really put a lot of thought and experimentation into their food pairings. This place is on a par with many world class restaurants in New York, but I'm afraid most Dentonites can't appreciate such careful attention to such unique and varied food combinations. People from other places get how good this food is, though, because every time I go there are business people entertaining their international clients a Hannah's. One last thing: their carrot cake is the best cake I've ever had, and I hate carrots! This place has the Midas touch when it comes to food.
Awesome experienc, great food, and excellent service. We started out with the white truffle pomme frites, they were out of this world. Then my fiancee got the 12 oz New York strip steak and it as probably one of the best steaks either one of us has had in in a while. Then i had the char quail they were nicely dressed out and had an awesome taste to them. Then we had desert we got the vanilla bean ice cream with a shot of expresso and a unforgettable experience. While my girlfriend went to the bathroom i had asked our waiter if he could help me out as i pulled out the ring lol. He told me he would figure out something. When they brought the desert he had stuck the ring on a strawberry that was set as the center piece on the plate her reaction was priceless. I got down on one knee and popped the question and well she said YES! Lol. It was far none the best experience then anywhere else.
Good for Denton, but not impressive. Relatively speaking, Hannah's has one of the better higher end restaurant experiences in Denton. If you know anything about an eclectic menu, wine and cocktail menu matched with great flavors, then Hannah's will not be all too impressive. I have been here about 5 times and each time I am disappointed by the flavor combinations. For the prices (around 12 for appetizers and 20 for entrees), this is always upsetting. They do redeem themselves when it come to brunch-- certainly one of the best in town. The lower prices (around 12 each) make it worth the experience. The service has always been wonderful, too.
What a nice surprise! We took a chance and had the most fantastic brunch. Great small town feel. Terrific wine list. Highly recommend the sweet treats appetizer at brunch- scones and coffee cakes. This is absolutely worth the drive.

Off the square, off the charts!. Had a delicious dinner celebration at Hannah's with my family last weekend. I had been wanting to try this place since I moved to Denton and I'm glad I finally was able to! First off, this is one of the nicer end restaurants in town so don't be surprised by the prices. They may be high for some but they aren't astronomical, and you definitely get your money's worth in terms of portion and quality.
We started with the white truffle pomme frites and the bacon wrapped dates for appetizers, and both were outstanding! The dates in particular were awesome and I wish I could replicate making them at home. I tried the grilled quail with polenta fries- my first time having quail but it was excellent. My dad had the "Off the Square" Tenderloin which was perfectly cooked and came with some yummy mashed potatoes and some sauteed veggies. My mom and sister split the Chicken Saltimbocca which was huge, even for two people. There was no room for dessert but I did try the chocolate peppermint martini, which was a great finish to a great meal.
Service, as in any restaurant can make or break your experience. Fortunately our server Aubree was friendly, attentive, and unobtrusive...made our dining experience a real pleasure (ask for her if you go!) The atmosphere is upscale but not uptight, lots of cool artwork and neat lighting fixtures to look at while you dine. There's a real romantic 'candlelight' type of ambience here in the evenings that probably isn't there if you go for lunch. Anyways, I hope to come back to Hannah's again soon and try out some new dishes. If you haven't been, give this place a try!
Wow. I feel like I'm in Austin. Great food great atmosphere. Service was excellent. Was looking for a nearby brunch spot with good Bloody Mary's! Had the French toast. Yummy with the Grand Marnier batter! Will be back to try more. Maybe the Salmon creeps or Chicken tamale breakfast!
Pricey?. The type of food they offer would be better suited if it were priced under $20+ a plate. I really enjoyed their orange juice for breakfast and their chicken salad sandwich... just wish it was a little more in my budget.
I agree with other comments that say great food, sub-par service. You would just expect much more from your waiters - slow service, inadequate knowledge of the menu, missing utensils. You come for the excellent dish. Also, the water is that often nasty Denton tap ; it sets an incredibly poor first impression when your paying more for a meal. Lunch is a better value.
