The Waterfront Pub And Grill

Waterfront was a welcomed change. This was our first visit as new Wisonsinites (IL transfers). The menu was noteworthy. Great items and fair prices. The kids ate everything on thier plates which speaks volumes. The atmosphere was nice -Lake-ish. Last but not least the beer was exceptionally cold. Very good! My only comment would be the server seemed a bit overworked. Might just have been because it was a friday though. We will be back again for sure.

Friday Afternoon lunch, a waste of my hard earned money. Waitress was the worst, seated us asked what do you want, ordered drinks and water. Came back with drinks we placed our order. Absolutely no friendly conversation, we were 1 of 2 tables. Brought our food, which was very unappealing Cod Fish fry, pretty tasteless, coleslaw was warm and soured. Had to ask for another drink and tarter sauce. Brought our check and had to wait 20 minutes for her to take my card. Wasn’t till I was putting on my coat and getting up that she took care of it. I don’t think she said 10 words to us the whole meal. Never asked if we needed anything, how was the food, would you like a beer back for your Bloody Mary. Will not be back. I believe in supporting local businesses during this time but there are plenty of other businesses. Might be why they had 2 tables at Friday lunch. Got a 1 star because I couldn’t give you any less!

The most underrated restaurant I've ever had the pleasure of going to! Wife and I went here as it's somewhere that a) we haven't been and b) has a fish fry. To clarify, an all you can eat fish fry, baked or battered! The fish was pretty good, but the cheese curds appetizer was easily the best cheese curds we've ever tried. Super airy and light with gooey Cheddar. My wife had the burger and it too tasted amazing! We loved this place so much that we had to try the dessert and the chocolate cake was out of this world! No complaints about this place and we'll definitely be back soon.
