Los Dos Compadres

We had the Lunch Special 11:00 am to 3:00 pm Fajita Mix Steak and Chicken and it was only $12 . We were transported back to mexico with the exuberant authentic mexican flavors. The Steak and the chicken came sizzling in a cast iron skillet and in a separate plate, the fajitas with the rice, beans, avocado and salad, it was enought for two, I shared it with my husband. This place is the best mexican restaurant in Deland. Our waiter Ricky and all the staff were very attentive and pending of all little details, from the host sitting us on the table, to the waitress that brought us the compliment chips with 2 hot sauces, one red mild and one green stronger. We like both sauces. It was a great Nd unforgetable dining experience. We are coming back to try all the plates.

Food is bad. Got the Mahi (surprise or something). Fish and shrimp were really salty. The rice had so much cheese melted in it that it was a mushy mess. They put the top cut part of the tomatoes in the mess. Fajitas were really overcooked. Carnitas were dry. I think they have stuff precooked and then put into the microwave.

Place is super nice , the service is fast and nice people, place is clean as well the bathrooms, i.like the place it is fancy, now I do have my complaint I other a compares burrito! And the chicken was just boiled and wrapped with beens... no taste it was flat !! My food was super big and nice presentation but sorry it taste bad no even close to a texmex burrito (because is no way it is a Mexican burrito) hope they fix that , I will keep training more from the menu
