Delicious Eggs Benedict $13w/tax. The breakfast potatoes were excellent...loved the seasoning. The eggs benny was light on Canadian Bacon. (I eat eggs benny almost everywhere I go so I am comparing this version to hundreds of other restaurants with comparable pricing.) Also, the hollandaise needed to be thicker. All in all, it had a nice taste. As far as portion size, most restaurants would serve double the amount of potatoes as this restaurant for the cost. So, potatoes portion needs to be increased for the price charged. The grilled biscuit was nice and warm although the taste was of the grill which had a slightly "old grease" flavor that I would have preferred not having. Kristin was a lovely server. One big comment to the owners/management: The melamine plate had chipping of the color coating throughout (I have included a photo). That means customers could be eating those color chips as they flake off the plates. Customers typically want to eat off real plates not plastic plates which are flaking. I am certain this is not healthy.

Phenomenal service, good food and a place we'll definitely be back to soon. The younger guy who made our coffee was so sweet and definitely made a great cup of pumpkin spice coffee! The French toast was good. The bacon was crispy and not greasy. I loved the grits and hash. Our waitress was sweet and accommodating. New little gem of a place!

The food is good. The atmosphere is pleasent and inviting. The wait staff are warm and helpful with the menu. All in all, this is a very nice place to eat breakfast and lunch. Edit: Unfortunately Village Cafe lost its great chef since my last review. They rotate staff to do the cooking now. Wait times for food can be up to 45 minutes. The prices has increased by a lot. Breakfast for one with cheese omelet, two sausage patties, grits, coffee and or drink will cost $17 plus tip brings it to $21. Not worth it. You can do better at IHOP.
