Superb...three dinners in ten days! Many thanks to Chef Devin and the wonderful staff, especially our server, Victoria, for the last two dinners. The lobster ravioli initially drew us to the restaurant after dinners at the Blue Hill Inn, but everything is top rate. Can't wait until next year!
I had the lobster ravioli about 2 years ago now and I still daydream about it. It was magnificent. Huge portion of lobster stuffed inside absolutely delicious handmade pasta and drizzled with a creamy, buttery sauce? Omg. It was *Extremely* good. Such an awesome restaurant, I highly recommend.

You must, you have to have dinner here! It's gourmet food at it's best with a view of the ocean to boot! It's not terribly expensive for the high degree of epicurean delight you will have here either.
1st night: Blue Hill Bay Mussels and Pinot Grigio.
2nd night: Blue Hill Bay Oysters, Lobster Tortellini and Pinot Grigio.
Very good service, outstanding food, the only place in Stonington for seriously good food.
Amazing dinner experience at Aragosta! From the beautiful view, clean and inviting decor to the great food and service. Everything tasted amazing from the appetizers to the dessert. The Stonington Lobster Casoncelli was sooooo gooood! Did not want to share any of it with my group. Loved our time so much we came back the next day for lunch. Hats off to chef Devin for a memorable experience.
We had dinner there last night and lobster rolls today for lunch. The dinner was fabulous and we had a great dry Rose. Service was excellant. I would go back again and again.
Amazing atmosphere--gorgeous restaurant with an incredible view, and knowledgeable and gracious service. I love that they use so many locally sourced ingredients from the oysters to the produce, to the bitters in the cocktails. Our party of four loved every bite, especially desert; I can't wait to come back and try EVERYTHING.
Without a doubt, the best in Stonybrook. Try to eat there every evening you are in town, supplemented by the Pilgrim's Inn.
Aragosta has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are wonderful and food is excellent. Perfect presentations and delicious.
Wonderful food. Wonderful service. A true hidden gem!
Very great service, the staff is nice, the lobster ravioli is amazing!Had a amazing dinner, great view was very nice night.
We love everything about this place! Do not miss the opportunity to dine here.
One of my all time favorite restaurants. Exquisite. I feel like a queen there. Thank you.
Some of the best food I've had in a long while - pure and unadulterated, the natural flavors and local products sing!
We didn’t stay here or have the tasting menu. We just came for drinks and a light dinner on the deck. First of all, the location is amazing! Classic Maine views. The deck is first come, first served and they didn’t have a table for us right away but there are picnic tables on the lawn below and a beach and you can order a beer or soft drink while you wait. The host and servers were very friendly and made the atmosphere very welcoming. We were seated within about 20 minutes and enjoyed some great oysters, a delicious salmon sashimi and their lovely chowder. We hope to return to stay and enjoy the tasting menu someday. This is a very beautiful and well run place with great food that is welcoming to everyone.
What a treat to spend a weekend in such a beautiful place. The culinary experience at Aragosta leaves you speechless. Chef Devin is incredibly talented. From the presentation to the ambiance, this restaurant will spoil your tastebuds and mind. Surrounded by the beautiful landscape and woods of Maine, Aragosta enables you to have a relaxing vacation with amazing food. The drive is a little long, but it is well worth-it! I would highly recommend!
This is a wonderful and unique place. The hospitality and food are truly special, and the breathtaking location frames a magical experience for diners and guests.
We were fortunate enough to stay over night, which afforded us a sunset walk before the late seating and a relaxed dining experience.
Jimmy and Dan provided impeccable service, and the personal touches that cast long lasting memories. Thank you Devin, Dan, Jimmy and staff.
We had a tasting menu which was both visually imaginative and very tasty. There was plenty of food all around. Service was impeccable. Instead of wine pairing for $90/person we opted for a bottle of white and 2 glasses of red, sommelier was very helpful to guide us through a very extensive wine list.
Atmosphere was romantic with candles and flowers and overall restaurant left a high end impression. One of the best restaurants I've been to lately. Definitely worth the price. My opinion was shared by everyone in our 4 people group.
“Famous baby” and his parents absolutely loved the tasting menu. Many thanks to Chef Devin and her incredible staff!! The only thing better than the service and the atmosphere was… every single course. Delightful surprises and fabulous flavor profiles. My husband’s only complaint was that he “just wanted double of everything”. Our 11m old son had his first bites of lobster & couldn’t get enough of the caramelized onion butter and focaccia bread.
Keep doing what you’re doing, Aragosta - it’s amazing!
If you’re on the fence or reading the negative reviews, just book the dinner anyway. I cannot fathom where those reviews came from. Everything was beyond tasty, everyone was extremely friendly, and we wish we had time to come again!
Thank you! Famous baby & fam.
Hands down, the finest restaurant experience in Down East Maine. The A++ service was eclipsed only by the unbelievably excellent food and drinks.
This is one of the few restaurants that I’ve been to in my life that was truly worth the hype, and worth the wait.
Oh, and that ocean view from the dining room? Just the cherry on top.
If you’re on the fence about going, just do it and you’ll only regret having not gone sooner.
An experience for sure. The courses were literally works of art but more importantly mostly delicious. Our servers were knowledgeable and professional. We were questioned after being seated of potential allergies and/or foods we disliked. After that, the courses came one after another. A few of my favorites,
-Stonington lobster smoked egg sauce, nori cracker
-Mussels with lemon and leek and herb spread on focaccia
-pasta stuffed with lobster dressed with lemon gremolata
-locally foraged mushrooms and butternut squash soup
-Steamed halibut, radicchio emulsion, radicchio purée
Lastly, I will say that although there were many tasty bites, at the end, we were not full. My husband came home and ate several bowls of popcorn. Haha
We had a phenomenal long weekend at Aragosta. We stayed in one of the cabins (Rosa Ragusa). The cabin/cottage was perfect. The deck has an ocean view. It did turn cooler & rainy so the fireplace & heater made for a very cozy vibe.
The food is an experience. Each course is unique & wonderful. The service is top notch. Chef Devin has a great crew that really puts on a food symphony.
Kudos & thanks to everyone!!

Loved staying here. Clean rooms, attentive staff, gorgeous views! Loved the breakfast that came w the stay and dinner was incredible. These folks understand hospitality and service. 10/10 would recommend.
Aragosta was an amazing weekend experience. From the moment we arrived until the time we left we had the absolute best service. We ate at the bar on night one and the small tasting menu was absolutely perfect. The bartenders were so hospitable and the wine sommelier was very kind and informative after I had asked about there natural wines. The overall view and flow of the restaurant and the cabins was just stunning and so peaceful, we felt completely rejuvenated after the weekend.
As for dinner the main event, we did the tasting menu which was probably the best food/experience we could have had! we loved all of it and our servers were amazing! We enjoyed that everything is locally sourced and our waitress grandfather even farmed the scallops we had that night! We did not have a bad meal the entire weekend, including the breakfast that was outstanding. 10/10 would recommend Aragosta to anyone.
Dinner in the greenhouse was a really special occasion. All of the food was executed really well and the service was equal. Strongly recommend this if you can swing it.
Worth the drive to Deer Isle for the food, the view, & the hiking if you want. The team has done an immaculate job of transforming this property and restaurant into truly impressive dining and atmosphere.
Spent an amazing Memorial Day weekend here. The room was exactly what you think of for summer in maine, quaint, clean with an ocean view. The welcome bottles of prosecco were a nice touch. Booked dinner for one night onsite, well planned local ingredients. Breakfasts were amazing, served right on the deck overlooking the ocean. The staff were all friendly and just the best people you could want around you on vacation. Perfect weather, spent the day on the beach wandering the grounds and even went for a swim in May. Make sure to visit Rena in the Piccolo Mercato market. Can't wait to get back!
Beautiful location and fantastic food. Be sure to check the schedule and make a reservation ahead of time if necessary. When it gets crowded service can be slow.
Restaurant: Really nice service, good food, reasonable prices. No non-alcoholic beer. But the pilsener tasted very good.
Beautiful location with tremendous potential. They work very hard on adding new and creative things, such as their new beach bar.
Their tasting menu for dinner is extravagant and expensive, and so most folks opt for their happy hour. They have cocktails, light fare, pizzas, drinks, and are happy to provide blankets to make everyone comfortable.
During Happy Hour the wait can be 15-30 minutes and they make it easy with a beach bar, a strong along their beach, or a variety of lovely seating options.
The food itself wasn't as spectacular as I remember. The ice cream we were given simply wasn't fresh, and everything else seemed to have great potential but were near misses. The Thai sauce on the mussels didn't hit right, for example. When they were still in downtown Stonington they had a veggie burger on the menu that was the greatest thing ever but isn't on the menu anymore.
One of the major shortcomings was the staff. The host when we went was more interested in being poorly dressed, chatting up the waitresses and declaring to colleagues that he was going to "get laid" in audible distance of guests. Not very cool. The waitstaff was frequently distracted by the host and weren't as attentive as guests deserved.
I am not a refined man, but I am moved by sensational things, people, and experiences. Aragosta has given me some of the most memorable and moving food focused moments of my entire life. I do not say this lightly. My top three, all time pantheon of food memories, in no particular order: 1. first ever slice of cheese pizza after peewee tee-ball 2. eating sushi for the first time with my then future wife 3. Dinner at Aragosta. Like the island that is it's home, Aragosta is pure, unfiltered magic; a Shangri la that you can make reservations for.
The Deck was great! All served with care! Memorable experience. Great wine and burgers.

The best dining experience in Maine. Our server was attentive and engaging. She made us feel welcome. Made great recommendations. Place was clean and gorgeous. View spectacular. I would make the 2hrs drive again to eat at Devin's place. Food was delish.
