Monical's Pizza

I grew up in Decatur, and since I've moved away. I returned for a visit, and of course had to visit my favorite pizza place from my childhood. Honestly, I was disappointed. It was okay, but not great. I can't exactly describe what was different, but if this was my first time visiting, I wouldn't not be that impressed. I did make a second visit, just to ensure that the first was not an "off day" or something, but I had the same experience the second visit as well. It is still decent pizza, so I settled on a score of 3 stars.

Used to love Monicals. Each experience I feel it gets a little worse. Between prices, and the half full containers we get it just makes it harder and harder to be our go to. Also. Heart shaped pizza? I worked at a pizza place for a few years and would've sent this back. I get it can't look like the good done up photo op images but c'mon. It looks more like a heart AFTER I took my first slice. $18 for THAT small amount "for 2"

We had a call in order and when I walked in at least 3 different people came to the counter and no one acknowledged me as being there and then they were very sharp when I paid. I continued to stand and several minutes later a girl very politely brought me out my breadsticks. Then several minutes later it turned out my pizza was sitting on the rack the entire time not once did anyone communicate very poor service. They were not busy

Wonderful! THE BEST THIN CRUST INDIVIDUSL PIZZAS EVER!!!!! I had the DELIGHT...VERY well done. I am sad Monicals is only in Illinois....but visiting here after being gone for 6 years....wow. I didnt realize how much I missed their pizza!!!! You guys HAVE to try it! Secret tip: Ask for French dressing...then DIP your Monicals pizza in it. OMG! You will thank the heavens. And you CAN BUY THEIR FRENCH TO TAKE HOME! Enjoy!!!!
