An awesome to go and chill with friends, great music taste. They have hookahs with various flavors and drinks and ofcourse this place is 21 and above only. I had a great time there, great crowd and nobody judges you as obvious everyone is drunk. Furthermore, they also have good foods.

This is favorite Hookah bar to visit at I admire the traditional decor and settings! It is simple but yet presentable. The tradition look is refreshing. Whether it is a simple date or group gathering, there is so much room to plan ahead and enjoy a quality times with friends at this place. Though, parking can be challenging during busy days so plan ahead and perhaps ride along or use either Uber or Lyft. Their dishes and excellent as well.

I had a horrible experience the server had a bad attitude. The floor was so uncomfortable. The food was just alright. We did go to celebrate one of my friends who was returning home. That was about 18 before we started ordering we asked could we split the bill we were told yes but at the end of the night. It was onlynot a problem because everybody in our party was grown but the fact that some people didn't have cash on them and we have to cash app each other was a bit of a inconvenience. The belly dancer was amazing. I didn't like the fact that there was a $5 valet parking fee I'm already coming to your restaurant to spend money. I would have rather to charge $5 for entertainment fee for the belly dancer. also if you don't pay your bill in cash then there is a $20 charge for using the credit card. I don't know if that charges based off of the amount of your bill our bill was $501. That was including gratuity which was $77 our server definitely did not deserve $77 his attitude was horrible. I think what a party that big server should take notes instead of basing it things off of memory.

We went here to celebrate my friends birthday. Nice experience and good food. Our waiter Dalia was amazing and very attentive as well as knowledgeable.

I've been here a few times. This time we went on a Friday night around 11pm. They have the best hookah, very smooth and flavorful. It doesn't burn your throat or give you a headache like the club hookahs do. The belly dancing is always good and the DJ plays a variety of music. However, the customer service is lacking, even when the place is not busy. There's about 2 servers, our server was the guy. He took too long to take our order and didnt seem friendly. I ordered 1 hookah and 1 drink and a bottle of water(they only serve bottled apparently) ended up paying almost $60! The hookahs are about $25-$30 I believe the drink was like $8 and $3 for the water. It was only my husband and I and they added about 18% gratuity! I understand gratuity for large parties but that's too high for only 2 people and for what we ordered. Don't think I will be going back there anytime soon.

We have been going here for years. Yesterday we went for dinner and were served by the best waitress ever. Ask for Denise! She is the sweetest person ever. We enjoyed some lahmacun and a hookah! The food is authentic and the people are the kindest!!

The place is outdated first notice that when coming in like the pillows and cushions were worn,no comfort like sitting on the hard floor, the falafels didnt have much seasoning like herbs were missing very plain main entree i ordered the combination platter was good and the gyro kabobs, the menu prices are reasonable my only issue is they charge you if using a card! Vs cash first time ive ever came across such a thing! I would go back only if they remolded or if i was ordering out. Ill bring cash! Belly dancer was entertaining

Food is very good. Gets pack on the weekend. Parking is very tight. You can chose to sit at the bar, a table or on the floor. They have hookahs at a decent price. Belly dancers come out and perform. Music is entertaimi g. Have been multiple times.

Worst staff ever. Good music.
Horrible staff

We made a reservation for two people for 10:00 PM and the staff completely disregarded our reservation and we did not get the seats on the floor.

After settling for a table, the waiter took 35 minutes to take our order.
The hookah wasn't set properly either.

Overall, a horrible experience. Very unprofessional and chaotic atmosphere.

$22 for hookah is not bad; however, it's certainly overpriced for this business.

-----17 May, 2015-----

Worst staff. A local GEM, yet of distant origin, LOVE IT.. I, for one, am a major carnivore....so naturally I ordered their COMBO KEBAB, which is basically an avalanche of perfectly seasoned grilled MEATS (Chicken, and Lamb-Beef mix). These guys are more generous than generous... I mean the portions are HUGE. At times it felt like a battle from MAN VS FOOD. My order came with rice, vegetables, lettuce, and an outrageously delicious BREAD (garnished with herbs and olive oil).

As for service, I had a courteous young gentleman as my server. I took me few attempt to get his name, primarily because of the loud BD-party crowd next table. His name was Berem. I later learned that he was the Manager.

In Short, the FOOD WAS TO DIE FOR! and the people were GREAT.

Best Food Ever. Wish there was a Cafe Istanbul in Gwinnett. Best food I have ever eaten. Love it. :)

Bad food, poor service, good atmosphere. The lamb dish I got was very dry, literally swimming in butter, yet hardly any seasoning or flavor. My husband's food was a little better than mine but still dry. The service was very slow even though we ate early when the restaurant only had a few guests. Come for a drink, bellydancing, and hooka but make sure and eat somewhere else.

Turkish before Turkey Day. My wife and I have witnessed the crowds of people going to this place every weekend for years - We had a ScoutMob coupon, so we took the plunge this evening. Pros - great service and good food (not great but good enough). Cons - only one belly dancer!

The ambiance is nice. The main dining is room is dark, and has low tables with pillows to sit on. There was only one belly dancer and frankly, she was kind of big. She only performed for about 10 minutes out of the hour and a half we were there. Also, there were no female servers (which is kind of weird in my book). Would I go back?? Probably but not for a long time. It looked like a fun place to go with a group of friends - also, they have hookas for smoking flavored tobacco......and not the wacky kind!

Worst experience ever. All of the food was cold, tabbouleh salad was horrible- tasted like cereal or something, kofte was raw, gyro was dry, kebab was tasteless and cold, ayran was milky and it should be made with yogurt not milk. Prices were too high as well.
:(

Best Turkish Restaurant in Atlanta. I have been going to Cafe Istanbul for a few years now and I keep coming back to this restaurant because of its exceptional customer service. The food is extremely affordable and the hookahs are very smooth to taste. At night the restaurant turns into a festivity with belly dancers. My favorites on the menu are Turkish Kayak Pizza and Adana Kabob, they are to die for! Kalo Galoway more commonly known as Mustafa always gives me the best experience there! The staff is like a big family and instantly make you feel at home. The restaurant truly takes you to Turkey and back, do not miss out! I LOVE ALL OF THEM!!

The food is great I give it a A+ 10 out 10. You must go. I just love the people hear, It great! Cafe Istanbul is a great experience.

Group dinner. Pros: free valet parking, lots of seating, bellydancer
Cons: speakers are a little too loud, absolutely no lighting at the table forces everyone to pull out their smartphone flashlight apps to read the menu

Definitely nice atmosphere and good for groups. I'd go again. Food was neither impressive nor disappointing.

Exceptional Experience. Cafe Istanbul is a great experience. I was with a party of 10 on October 23, 2010 and we had a wonderful time. The food, service, and atmosphere are top notch. The dancer Nicole was very entertaining and probably the best belly dancer I've ever seen. At times the music was a bit loud for my comfort, but most of the time it was very pleasant. Some of our group smoked the hookah and said it was really fun but I didn't try it. Maybe next time!

Great atmosphere. Good service. Great food. Definatly recommend.

I wascexcited to try this place because I like Turkish food. The service was slow and distracted. The music was abrasively loud. I mean extremely loud, and it wasn't even Turkish. The food was sub-par and overpriced. I wanted to like this place very bad.

Very good food. Anytime you feel that you want to eat something refreshing try this restaurant

Belly dance and Belly full. A visit to an authentic style Turkish Restaurant will open your eyes and tastebuds to the flavors of Persian cuisine. Low tables and cushions surround the perimeter of the dining rooms and Kilims lie the floor. Persian music fills the air as college age students enjoy Turkish beer and smoke hookahs. The staff and food both exceed expectations and provide an exceptional dining experience. Lamb, beef, bean and vegetarian offerings provide a full flovered palate. A bellydancer completes the atmosphere. Bring some dollars for her and the valet parking atttendant. Come early or expect to wait for a table. I highly reccomend Cafe Istanbul, don't expect the usual fare.

A rainy Saturday afternoon found me darkening the doorstep of a restaurant on my radar for some time, Decatur's Cafe Istanbul. Entering the dimly lit restaurant, I was momentarily taken aback by its emptiness. But hey, it was an early Saturday afternoon perhaps the bulk of their business would occur later in the day and into the evening. All told, we could of easily made off with the flat screen above the bar and money from the cash register in the time it took for our presence to be acknowledged. Finally,
