This place is on par with Umi for the best upscale sushi in Atlanta. You won’t find crunch rolls or other Americanized items here. Expect the highest quality fish and expect to pay for it. Amazing service as well.

It was very good sushi. My complaint was with the pairing. Was told that would be 5 to 6 pairings but was only offered 4... Those also seemed to not match with the pairs and almost seemed as an after thought. Reviews also discussed that sushi was a masterpiece to look at. During the omasake the presentation was as expected and nothing unusual. The sushi itself was very good though.

Atmosphere: informal / casual. Had a very chill vibe Wait Staff: very attentive Drinks: creative, tasty and overall fantastic Food: it was ok. The sushi rice seemed to lack acidity from the rice wine vinegar. We weren’t wowed by the sushi because of this. The RWV adds a different depth to the sushi. Unfortunately I didn’t quite figure out what was missing until I left the restaurant otherwise I would have provided feedback. Celiac: they took all the steps to avoid x-contamination. They were attentive to our dietary restrictions and were able to accommodate. People should try the place out and not just take my opinion as gospel.

I enjoyed my meal 😋! I met with friends for an evening out and to try something new. I plan to make Brush Sushi Izakaya one of my goto places to dine. The atmosphere and service were wonderful. I had the Spicy Miso Ramen bowl. It had been years since I used chopsticks but it didn't take long to recall how to use them. I did get full so I had to get a doggie bag.

Brush remains Decatur's top-notch sushi restaurant, and every foodie in the area should try it at least once. In addition to "normal" meals, you can also book one of Atlanta's best omakase tastings by calling, or using the "order online" feature of the website. Fish quality is absolutely in a different league than most Atlanta sushi. Almost every choice, including some that even longtime sushi-lovers may not have tried, has the melt-in-your-mouth feel that you'd expect from the best toro. If you're not lucky enough to get an omakase or uni tasting reservation, have the Chirashi. A top-tier mixologist makes a nice selection of inventive drinks, from smoky to citrusy or fruity, plus a selection of beer and sake that will please most. The NewBees is one of the best drinks in metro Atlanta, incredible deep, yet as smooth and drinkable as water. There have been recent changes: the extensive and delectable yakitori over binchotan is gone from the menu (we miss you, wagyu skewer). But, amazing new pillowy-soft bao including one made with Beyond meat, have been added. The restaurant seems louder and more hectic, with a new configuration that splits north and south sides of the dining room by a partition. But I'm glad Brush is still here in the age of COVID, and I hope people from all over the region keep coming for their first taste of its excellent food and drinks...or keep being the repeat customers it needs!

I've been to Brush many times over several years and every experience is always wonderful. The quality and presentation of the dishes is perfect every time (I admire the stoneware they've chosen, very high quality and beautiful. Seems to be hand-made). Staff is knowledgable and friendly. Atmosphere is classy without being too pretentious. Sake and tea selection is well curated. Honestly, I can't gush about this place enough and I always recommend it to anyone looking for good Japanese food in Atlanta.

My fiance and I adore this place. We always sit at the bar. The service is honest and on point. Always get the 7 piece sashimi plate. The sakes are high quality. This is truely the most freshest, high quality sushi you can get in Atlanta. Trust me- we have tried a LOT.

Brush has an amazing omakase experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-quality dining experience! The fish is unbelievably fresh, and definitely on par with meals we've had abroad.
