We came here in the afternoon about 3:30 and sat on the patio. After about 10 minutes without anyone coming out, I stuck my head in the door. Someone in the back said they'd be out. Once we were acknowledged, our visit went smoothly. Our server was attentive and the food was great. We ordered chips and salsa to start. But at $14, we felt that was pretty steep and wondered why chips and at least a red salsa aren't complimentary as they are in every other Mexican restaurant we've been to. My wife ordered tacos and I had the steak and goat cheese enchiladas. The food was hot and well prepared. Both came with a beautiful presentation and we enjoyed them very much. Overall a nice place to have a delicious meal.

3 starts for ambiance of this cute little place. Didn’t get chance to sit outside due to rain but I’m sure it would be nice. The staff is friendly and fast. The food was on our table within 15 minutes of ordering. We liked their guacamole and chips but it seemed bit pricey as other Mexican restaurants at least offer chips and salsa for free. The food was just okay, yuka fries had no flavor and the same was the case with green rice we got with chicken quesadilla. Overall it’s nice place to have drinks and enjoy a good conversation. Tip- park your vehicle on opposite side of the road at small plaza parking as they don’t have enough parking space.

Super amazing place! I loved the decor and comfy seating, plenty of options including outdoor dining! I came here on a recommendation from a friend and I was Very pleased with my experience. The yucca fries (pictured below) are super delicious, both with the sauce and plain! Definitely try them as your appetizer. They have a lot of fresh options to choose from, and can accommodate vegetarian diets! The staff is friendly and courteous, even as the restaurant got busy our server made sure we had everything we needed. I tried a pineapple Paloma and it was very delicious! I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone :)

A spectacular dinner, dessert and drinks were had. This place is top notch. The food is incredible, the decor is lit, and the vibes are chill. They have a nice patio as well. I chose to sit indoors in the A/C. The servers, bartenders, and staff all wore masks. While I know that's a pain in the @ss for them, I appreciated the effort they're making to be safe. Please patronize them. It's a great spot.

The only authentic thing about this spot is the music and drinks! Home made Ginger beer 10/10. I will not be coming back! If you like weird mockery ‘Mexican’ food than dine in and enjoy! Mash potatoes and yuca where good but again not Mexican.

The only problem I had was the hot red pepper sauce was way over the top & all on one taco! The planteens were excellent & the black beans!

A great little cantina! Whether you’re wanting lunch, dinner or just some afternoon chips and drinks, Mexcalito is a nice place to dine right in the heart of Oakhurst. It has become one of our regular spots throughout the week. ***Food*** We started with the Mezcalito's Trio (Queso, Red and Green Salsa, Guacamole & Chips) - this is a great option for a larger group but a little too much for just the two of us. With that said, the queso and guac were both really good and we had no complaints with the salsas. We also order the Chicken Tostadas, Fried Shrimp Tacos, Taco Chinos and the Yucca Fries. Each and every food item we tried, we really liked but our favorites were the Taco Chinos and Yucca Fries. Both of these were so good that we continue to order these every time we go. ***Drinks*** We’ve tried the Mojitos, Margaritas, and the Sangria. They were all tasty drinks and would order again. ***Service*** The service is always great. The servers are always friendly and helpful and we always feel welcomed. Couldn’t ask for more. ***Atmosphere*** We love eating outside since this restaurant is right in downtown Oakhurst. It’s a cute little spot with lots of people watching. Inside is also a great option if it’s a little too hot outside. ***Value*** The value is just right. We’ve never felt that we paid too much considering how tasty everything is!
