Jp's Bar And Grill

I haven’t ate here, but I made a post on a city page about another restaurant only asking if it was open, and JP’s Bar Manager decided to say the other restaurant was closed by the Health Department due to spoiled meat, and shut down until February due to lack of workers. Both statements which are completely false. Not good business practice to drag another new local restaurant down.

Place was a dive. I had really hoped for more as they are so close to the Ford buildings and local neighborhoods. Server was courteous, but the patrons were what I would describe as the kind you'd find at a truck stop in Kentucky. I did not try the food but it seemed expensive, 9$+ for a burger with no fries or anything. Beers were 5$ for a pint or 7$ for a 22oz. I would consider going back if they had better prices for the atmosphere.

Be cautious going here. Absolutely no effort was made to enforce masking, distancing or contact tracing as required. The cook walked around the bar greeting customers and did not wear a mask. Customers entered and freely walked around inside maskless, customers were allowed to sit at tables within 3-4 feet of other customers and there was no distance between stools at the bar rail. With the COVID cases rising so fast in Michigan I was very surprised to see the lack of effort by this establishment to mitigate the spread. On the positive side the chili dogs and fries were pretty good.

Was excited to see a new place so close to work, unlike another reviewer I didn't have any issues with time to get food at lunch, though I'm sure it could vary by day, time, or dish ordered. Clean, well lit, friendly service by Brandy and the Monday special tacos exceeded my expectations for bar tacos. I will be back

Food was okay, and server was just fine. I work at ford down the street and was a little sad when it took an hour and a half to get food. We only get less than an hour lunch and never had an issue at any other place before. If I come back again and this is the same experience, then I will have to stop going there. Just not worth getting in trouble at work for a long wait of food. Closest place to work too. Will do another review in future if there is progress. First impressions are the most important in food business but I am willing to compromise. Edit: Went back on a Monday and was the only one there at the time and they had a full staff but still took 40 minutes to get food. The waitress was excellent and food was great but still too long for food.
