Kenefick Pit

I ordered the stuffed chopped baked potatoe, all the way with jalapenos. I also ordered the sliced brisket sandwich, all the way. Very good flavors and an excellent values. It's a short drive from Dayton, actually closer than driving to Liberty. Outside dining is clean and comfortable. Friendly people who are just trying to make a living selling best bbq possible. Highly recommended!

Drove a bit sideways between Houston and New Orleans, but worth the stop to my first Texas BBQ (I'm not counting one time at a big chain in san Antonio decades ago. The smell of the pit hits you as soon as you open the rental car door...as well as the humidity and storm clouds in the distance. Went with a safe brisket plate order and great meat and phenomenal red beans and rice side. But the owner brought out a rib for me to try....and it went to another level! I've eaten many BBQ ribs, but this was the best ever! The meat was that perfect texture and smoke ring clear and sumptuous. But the rub texture I'd never had before. Sauce was well done too. Thanks for showing me good BBQ Kenefick.

Nothing tastes home made here. Briskets, sausage and sides all taste like they were purchased pre cooked from a cheap store, reheated and covered with oil. I'll bet they don't even make their own bbq sauce. Can't believe there's so many good reviews. Service is friendly and setup is very nice though.
