Downtown Deli is a great place to go for lunch. I try to make it there at least once a week. I love the chili soup and always get that. I have tried several of the sandwiches and have liked them all. One of the best things is the bread. I am very picky about my bread. I hate it when bread crumbles and falls apart when you eat the sandwich. Their bread is so fresh here it does not fall apart. They are so friendly here as well. I would recommend to everyone. Enjoy!
Love this deli. The food here is top-notch and the people that work here are very friendly. We live in Des Moines, so we are only in the QC about 5-6 times a year, but I make it a point to hit Downtown Deli whenever I am in town. My recommendation is to get a Poor Boy sandwich with a pretzel bun and some Chicken Tortilla soup. It honestly is the best CT soup I have ever had anywhere.
For being a deli they meet every standard I would expect. Great food, friendly people! They provide ample amount of space for you to dine and have privacy. Although I wish their hours were a liiiitle longer so I would have more of a chance to eat there I respect the business for being lucrative and not sitting around empty. Although I believe people would go down there even after work at 5. Maybe stay open until 6 just a thought. Get the tortilla soup its great and pair that with the Italian beef, you cant go wrong!
I love this place! Owners are very nice, food is delicious and it's a cozy environment. The chicken tortilla soup is to die for. I wish they were open later. Check it out, support local business. You won't be disappointed!
LOVE this little place. Awesome location for a bite to eat when you're spending time downtown. Great sandwiches at nice prices, awesome cookies, very friendly staff. A simple atmosphere that makes you feel like you're exactly where you're at- a deli. Will return again and again.
So yummy!! Best chicken tortilla soup in the QC. Poor boy is amazing. Also, with a sandwich and soup meal you get a fountain drink and cookie. We love this place.
First time and I was impressed. Great food fast. Very good prices and quick friendly service. The Greek salad was large and authentic. Nice big clean room in the heart of downtown. I will be back!
First timer. Like to support local business, and glad we chose this place. Gentlemen working were friendly and food was great. We tried a few different items from the menu, and all were excellent. I will say a bit pricey but totally worth it
