Review Rich's Deluxe Restaurant - Danville

I hate to give the Deluxe a bad review because I've had many excellent meals there. But yesterday was not one of them. I ordered the Country burger and it was a horrible. The burger was so dry and tough it was difficult to eat. The peppers and onions tasted "off". Even the pickle tasted weird. I did eat half of it and that was my biggest mistake. Shortly after I left, my stomach felt queasy so I skipped my errands and went home. I've had an upset stomach since. The only saving grace was our waitress, Nikki. She was wonderful, so understanding and incredibly kind.

So great to still find a salad bar! And one with healthy dark, green lettuce and many other healthy veggies. Clean place with so many options on the huge menu! Something for everyone. AND the specials we picked made for a great price too. 2 adult entrees...all you can eat fried chicken and chicken cordon bleu, with salad bar, for $22?! We did only get water but even it was filtered and tasted great. Definitely recommend!

Food very good, all you can eat fish fry and the best salad bar I've been to in a long time. Everything was fresh on the bar. It has become my favorite in Danville IL.

Nice quaint place to stop in to eat. The atmosphere was quite, clean and had a dinner feel to it I guess you would say. It felt like it was set back in time somewhat. Not outdated, but with history. The service was good and so was the food. We had salad bar and sandwiches/fries. I had a roast beef with ajus sauce and my husband had the Italian. I wasn't able to eat but half my sandwich with the salad bar (one trip) and most my fries. Its become pretty hard to find restaurants that have salad bar anymore, so it was nice to see they have one. It is not a large bar, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, banana peppers, cucumbers, eggs, Mac salad, croutons, bacon bits, crazons, sunflower seeds, etc I know there were some other things I'm leaving off. I believe they had 4-5 dressings to choose from also. It had most of your basic salad things. This was our first time to Danville so we had no knowledge about places to eat, but we would most likely stop in again.

Had a decent ribeye here. Add the friendly service staff and the amount of food that came with my order and you have a winner. The red skinned roasted potatoes were on point. The super soft bread and the salad bar rounded out the meal. I gotta go back to try the salmon.

Great breakfast. We had crepes and Hercules skillet. Very good. Coffee was also great and never got low. Plenty of food, fair prices, great service.

Great food and service! Even though they were near closing , these sat us and took our order. Thanks again!

Bun was burnt, fries were very greasy and cold. Asked for a non toasted bun and brought out another burnt bun. Must be a bad night, have never had a bad experience until tonight.
