I’ve been coming to el nido since I was a child, and I always make a stop here when I’m home! Their chicken soup is my comfort food, especially on a rainy day (add cheese and jalapeños)! Their chips and salsa are delicious, I also love their quesadilla, taco salad, and fajitas! They do great catering my family gets it for every family event we have! Their staff is so nice and welcoming they make you feel like you’re a part of their family!

I was there for a business meeting so didn't take a photo. I had the Don Briante which was great. Half Chili Colorado and half Chile Verde. Both were great but if I had to do it again it would be all Colorado. Service was prompt and attentive but not to the point of bothersome.

5 de mayo celebration with a live band that played some really awesome music. Outdoor bar with a good mix of options

OMG! what a delightful experience.. Been living in the dark for 40 years and not trying this great authentic Mexican restaurant. The service is top notch with many smiles on a cloudy day when I went there for lunch. The food came out hot and fresh. I tried the fish tacos, rice and beans. My wife had the Enchiladas and Taco combo plate again fresh and both dishes served with a piping hot plate.. That is the way Mexican food should be served!! I came there hungry so I also ordered the shredded Chicken soup and it is a very healthy portion with all the fresh veggies and of course leftovers to take home LOL.. After having this nice scrumptious meal. My wife and I met Julia and her mother Serria who started this business for 39 years. What a beautiful family!! Take a look at the family portraits on the back wall 9 in the family and you will see a very close family with the father who started the business.. Don't hesitate and try this restaurant when you get some time and you will be pleasantly surprised. Nice views of the Diablo mountains.. Plenty of seating either inside or outside take your pick. Happy eating and enjoy!!

I grew up coming here with my family. In the late 90’s they stopped including a free salad with meals and my grandfather decided it wasn’t a good value anymore so we stopped coming. My mother always complained everything tasted the same. I’m happy it’s still in business as I’m 39 and as I said I’ve been coming here since the 80’s. By the photos it looks identical. I may bring my partner and try a margarita and give it another chance, I don’t think I’ve been here this decade.

It was our first time here and overall we enjoyed it. Outdoor sitting area is very nice. Service was fast and friendly. Food was fresh and decent 👌 and not expensive for Danville.

Was in the area, stopped by to eat here. (03/05) The restaurant is upstairs. As of now its outdoor dining. Was greeted by a super nice lady up front. Asked her for her favorite. Got a burrito with al pastor. (Wet style) Upon seating they brought chips and salsa. Can tell you they must be frying chips to order. They were crisp and hot. The salsa is more on the sweet side. As app i got their nachos and steak. Also made with fresh chips. Good amount of steak. Topped with what looks like 2 cheeses and beans. The burrito was great. Good amount of sauce on top. And had a good amount of al pastor. Quite enjoyed it! What seemed to be the server was also nice and checkin in on everyone. Good job on them with fast service.

Beautiful place to go eat during these challenging times. Very nice out foor setting. Service was amazing, very much on top of things. Food is amazing. I had the shrimp platter with a delicious spicy sauce. Price is reasonable . I will be going back.

Always a friendly experience and I'm so happy they're open now for in-person dining again. They have a patio for plenty of socially distanced seating. They also did takeout/delivery during the pandemic. My favorite Mexican food restaurant in the Danville area! The Burro Bronco Burrito is huge!
