Review Locanda Ravello - Danville

Very good Italian food in a charming town at a great location. Had some great choices that were both traditional, as well as some items I hadn't heard of before. Went with the latter, and really enjoyed it. Very much recommend.

Was there on a Thursday night and it was great! We made a reservation, which was good as the place did get a bit full later in the evening (though a few walkins may have been accommodated). The service was outstanding, prompt and friendly. The food was also good. Parking was the only challenge and that's due to the location NOT the actual restaurant - I would just recommend arriving with plenty of time to do a few circles before finding a spot.

We also appreciate the visit to our table to make sure I was enjoy your delicious creation. If you have a shellfish allergy this is a place to go to get amazing food and feel comfortable to enjoy your meal.

Locanda Ravello was awesome!! I had been working with the staff over the course of 2 weeks to plan a surprise dinner for my girlfriend and they went above and beyond!! The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Thank you to Cassie the manager and Rosario our server. We will definitely be back!!

Came here at prime dinner time without a reservation. Inside was pretty busy so we were given the option to sit outside under the open air tents and heater. It was pretty windy out but with warm jackets and hot water, we made it through. The app bread was soft and tasty. The bowl it came in made it difficult to get to the vinaigrette, but still tasty. The calamari also had a surprisingly good taste and texture but it came out lukewarm, which the wind outside accelerated things. We both ordered the special of the day. He loved it. I however thought it was too gamey. The waiter was super cool about letting me order something different. I went with the lasagna and loved it! Hot, huge portion, bursting with flavor, simple but cute presentation. Easily my go to meal there. Would definitely return but with a reservation for inside or outside on a warmer night.

I found a great place for Italian dining in this side of the Bay. The ambience inside is beautiful and cozy. The ambience outside is exceptional on a sunny day. We ordered fried zucchini as part of their special appetizer, octopus salad, Maine lobster pasta and vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge for dessert. No orders of us is a fail. Our waiter was I think too flirty and even winked at us lol He is very cute but we find it a little bit too much for pleasantries. Maybe it is the European way haha

Excellent service. Our server, Peppe, was so kind and polished yet warm. Heavy Italian accent to make the experience more real. Now... if they played Italian background music it would have been superb. Will come back for sure. Love it.

First time here I fell in love with the food and the staff I don't think I'll find a better Italian place to top this. We called for reservations once we heard about this place and that outdoor seating was available through this terrible Covid-19 pandemic. The staff had mask on and had the tables set up nicely outside and properly spaced. The staff was super friendly and always checked on us. The food was simply amazing with every bite. I can't wait to come back here and been telling all my friends and family about Lacanda Ravello. Thanks for the amazing food and amazing staff.

Food was delicious, good cocktails. Kids loved food from the kid menu. Just wish they installed a proper changing table in the bathrooms to change babies. Surprising they don’t have one since they are so family friendly!

If you are looking for Italian pasta search no more. This place is managed by real Italian people. The quality of the pasta and pizza is something you won’t finde anywhere in the Bay Area. If you are near Danville don’t miss this once in a life chance.

A much awaited team outing resulted in us gathering for a team dinner at Locanda Ravello. The team had arrived earlier at the spot and I was a bit late since it was quite a drive for me from San Jose all the way to Danville ( though one that I could do over and over given the food you are going to experience there is phenomenal) . Happened to reach just in time while the dinner orders were being placed and we ordered an eggplant parmigiana, pollo parmiggiana, 7 orders of Branzino ( tasted fresh and awesome) , rigatoni siciliana and I placed a to go order for ravioli lobster and a canoli. The team had already been enjoying the shshito peppers with some drinking options, prior to me getting there and was the peppers were one to have for sure. The dinner turned out to be perfect and tasted amazing. Rosario, our server for the evening guided us with our choices and did do a great job hosting us and addressing our needs. A definite recommendation and a must visit even if you have to drive 50 miles on a weekday ( along with the traffic) . Going back over there soon for more!!

I took part in a reception here following the Celebration of Life for a golfing friend. This was put on by the family. We were group of about 40 to 50 guests. Food service was buffet style. I think we started with appetizers followed by main dish items and finally, dessert and coffee. It was all very good. There were many items in the appetizer that I can't really recall all of them except for the Arancini, Defied resort O balls with a bit of marinara and cheese inside. They were very good. The main course items were 3 different pastas, a chicken picata and gnocchi. They, 2, we're all very good. There is also a solid table with 3 different salads and they, too, were excellent. For dessert they had cannolis, flowerless chocolate torte and Tiramisu. And like the previous courses, the desserts were also excellent. All in all, I, along with all the other guests, were very impressed. I will be coming back on our own for lunch or dinner in the near future. I would also consider this place for large parties in the future.

Very nice. Our party went for the veal special 3 to 4. It was extremely tender and good, but mostly I tasted capers and the sauce was white - no brownings. Still, delicious. The eggplant parmigian was more flavourful and sauce very robust and perfect. My favorite of the night though was the Zeppolini!!! OMG. Just delicious dessert with vanilla ice cream!!!!! Perfection!

My niece made reservations for this place when we went to visit last. The lobster ravioli was really good and so was the salad. Loved the outdoor atmosphere. Service was a little disorganized but they had it figured out eventually.

Great wine, cocktail selection, The lobster+ shrimp ravioli is outstanding Kids spaghetti was hot and tasty Special dessert of the day were just yum
