Went yesterday to have coffee with Mom. Very old Florida, the kind of place I remember as a child. I couldn't help walking around and taking pictures of the place. I can't believe this hidden gem is in our backyard.
We stopped, after having seen this cute place many times, for a late dinner. We couldn't have been more delightfully surprised! The eclectic upstairs dining room, great ambiance, great service, wonderful food and delicious dessert. Everyone was so friendly. We can't wait to go and be able to enjoy the outside patio area when it is warmer. �

I love Jimmie's chocolate, no doubt the best homemade chocolate and candy in the tri-county area.(better then those chain chocolate places) But what I want to brag about is Cafe 47. The little restaurant that sits in the front of Jimmie's .
The first time me and my wife went was for lunch. They had run out of the burger special that do everyday for lunch.Instead I had the steak sandwich.OMG the BEST I've ever eaten. I'm not a big beef guy, but this sandwich was sublime.My wife's salad with chicken breast that was also excellent and tasty.
So we went back for dinner, and they did not disappoint. The shrimp app was so fresh delicious and so flavorful. My dinner was Mariscos Criolla con Arroz /Fresh Seafood & Shellfish in a Criolla Styled Sauce. AMAZING! Latin flare , so tasty! As was my wife's Grilled Chicken Breast with a Ginger Citrus Reduction.AWESOME preparation! Then came the homemade desert. My wife had this flour-less chocolate lava cake...UNBELIEVABLE! How could it not be anything but with it sitting next to the best chocolate store in the country!I had a cheesecake dipped in chocolate ganache ....need I say more. This place is Dania bch's best kept secret... but hopefully not for long. Highly recommended!!!
Jimmies Cafe 47 is a wonderful place to eat. Always the chocolate shop after. Nice people. Support Local

Wish I had time to have a full meal here... the coffee and chocolates are delish!
We enjoyed our dinner here so much, delicious and the staff was so attentive we will be back again & again, had lunch outside one day and then dinner upstairs last night. A little gem in Dania Beach. Next it will be a wine tasting w/ tapas first. .
Service was on point. Food was great. Very nice to be on a date. Amazing.
Chocolate made right here in Dania Beach for 70 years they must be doing something right :) Yummy & their food is great also :)

We had such a nice Dinner there this evening. Great service and Delicious Food.
Even better than the chocolate (well, not really. but I am reaching for rhetorical purposes here) is the food and the non-pretentious atmosphere . . . and the wine list. In truth, nothing can be better than a chocolate truffle. And JIMMIE'S chocolates ain't (insert the name of any chocolate maker that'd send you a cease-and-decease letter if you used it here).

I’ve lived here many many many years and I’ve never taken the time to stop in if you haven’t it’s a must to stop and the people are amazing the ambience is amazing the chocolate is fabulous it’s like you entered heaven

Great Place to have a casual meal with friends and/or family. The place is very welcoming.
It has a very nice and spacious outdoor area. And the indoor area is on the second floor very quaint and cozy.
It’s truly a hidden gem in Dania Beach.
Service is excellent.
They have a variety of Caribbean inspired tapas. The one that peaked my attention the most was the roasted potatoes with manchego cheese.
I had a grilled chicken salad with house made pico de Gallo it was very fresh, tasty and the dressing was divine.
They have a variety of house made desserts. 🍮 All desserts offered seemed divine.
From chocolate smothered cheesecake, to coconut/chocolate flan, flourless chocolate torte and... the one I tried... A light and delicious crepe with chocolate sauce, bananas, strawberries and whipped cream. It was light and delicious.
Definitely a dessert you could share.
The Chocolate Shop in the back is definitely worth a visit. It almost takes you back in time. The Store gas Display after display of delicious chocolate offerings from a variety of handmade truffles to almond and nuts chocolate bark.
I bought a couple of truffles to take home and for family. I tried the “connoisseur truffle” (their most popular) there is a dark chocolate and a milk chocolate connoisseur The dark chocolate (the one I tried) was divine.
I also tried “El Tropical” I didn’t love it. But if you like coconut a lot. You might like it.
All in all a wonderful place. Will definitely visit Dania only to visit Jimmie’s Cafe.
BTW you can make reservations to have a chocolate and wine pairing at Jimmies.

Beatiful store, filled with lots chocolate varieties. The hot chocolate and the service are great. They have plenty parking space around the building but is not wheelchair accessible. The accept all types of payment, including Samsung pay. If you are chocolate lover, this is definitely a place you need to visit and experience their flavors. Enyoi
We stumbled across this by accident. It’s truly magical!!! Especially now Christmas time.. I just loved it!!! Super cute!! Chocolate store behind the restaurant.. best ever! We had a couple small plates outside.. food was amazing.. ambiance even better.

This is definitely a nice place for relaxing time in Dania Beach, plenty of parking in front of the building and behind the building. The foliage around the seating makes this very cozy and relaxing. They have outdoor and indoor seating. The outdoor seating does have fans and the trees provide great shade. We had lunch here and would be back again
If you're looking for a cozy place to have lunch or dinner, this is the café for you. The food is delicious and the staff here are extremely friendly and attentive. The desserts are amazing and the chocolate shop attached to the restaurant has something for everyone. I now understand why this place has been around since 1947. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit!
The ambience is lovely, the servers were great, and the food was delicious! Everyone loved their choices! I heard the sangria was great.

A true hidden gem. I was just here for a short stay before a flight and walked to this amazing place. I stopped for lunch and it was so good I came back with others for dinner. The place is so homey and the staff makes you feel like your family. The food and recipes are fresh and amazing. They have fresh caught fish bought from market that morning.
Also hidden behind this small cafe is a chocolate shop with homemade chocolates made in premise. I just stopped in to peek and ended up buying a bag full of deliciousness. This chocolate shop was opened in the 40s or 50s and still has that old school feel. Stop by here and I promise you will not be disappointed.
