I eat a lot of bougie sushi, and this place came as a complete surprise in terms of quality, presentation, and service. You absolutely need to make a stop into this place if you're looking for real sushi. If you eat a lot of sushi, you know what I'm talking about. Server Marina made this a super enjoyable experience. Sushi chefs know what they're doing. Not from the area, but I'm coming back for sure

Great food but the service is slow. I feel sorry for the waitress that had to serve half of the restaurant by herself. I have been here several times and the service is always in panic mode. Always.

Sushi with ocean view, does it get any better? Great service, fresh fish, and good drink selection. Had a Japanese IPA for the first time and it was so good. Didn’t even know that was a thing.

Best sushi in OC! Fresh taste, creative ingredients, kind service and an amazing ocean view makes this place an excellent experience. The Happy Hour menu is stocked with a plenty of favorites.

I recently went to this place that just got a new owner - a Japanese sushi chef. I was really impressed by the quality of the dishes that have been upgraded since the new owner took over. The ingredients used were of the highest quality, and the preparation was authentic which made everything we ate really delicious. I also noticed that they had new dishes on the menu that were very authentic, like fish heads which tasted amazing. The sushi was also excellent and definitely stood out. What I loved about this place was not only the food, but also the sea view - it was a rare and perfect combination. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for the best Japanese restaurant in the area. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I cannot wait to go back again!

When we arrived the wait time was short. The two servers whom were also waitresses we friendly & kind. Prices were great, our Sumo, Edamame, Miso, Crunchy rolls were delicious. They even had their own house soy sauce that was the Bomb dot com. We asked if we could be moved to an outside table once it became available and like nothing the waitress made it happen as busy as they were. Overall it was delicious, affordable, by the see, the bridge and the amtrak

Wow. Wow.Wow. I would never expect a place this good to be in this location. Sure, it's "right on the coast" and all but the train tracks and general location doesn't give it much foot traffic. This hidden gem is a must if you are driving through the area, especially during happy hour. We stayed at Riviera right up the street for a few days and ate here four times! Poke Tacos were a favorite of ours and one lunch meal we each ordered two and that's all we ate! Extremely fresh seafood and creative energy at the sushi bar. The pictures speak for themselves. Everything tastes as good as it looks. Very reasonable prices compared to the quality you are receiving. Just do it and you won't regret it. Of course, we'll be back!!

I dined here on Friday Feb 2, 2018. This place is a hidden gem.... with great views, ambiance, and good portion sizes. The service is top notch, and even though one is "assigned" a master sushi chef, every team member is ready to assist with anything (very proactive crew). Specials on craft beers, the sashimi combo and several rolls are reasonably priced. I was pleased with the taste and presentation, however, some of my friends weren't too impressed (claimed "experts" in the sushi field). Two big screen TVs on site. Recommended. PS: Warm blankets available at entrance.
