Savory Maine Dining & Provisions Damariscotta - Menu
Paired with our wonderful food, we now serve local mead from maine mead works and peak organic brewing company ale. The mead is made from maine wildflower honey and the lavender, elderberries and blueberries are organically grown in maine.
Maine mead works was founded in 2007 with a mission to re-introduce an ancient beverage handcrafted with the best ingredients maine has to offer, all the while embracing innovation, the environment and our community. Founder ben alexander sought the guidance of award winning mead maker and founder of makana meadery, dr. garth cambray hailing from south africa. Garth received a phd from rhodes university with research focused on advanced mead making systems and in 2007 came to maine to help design maine mead works. Since then ben, wife carly and mead maker nick higgins have been exploring the versatility of this complex drink all the while incorporating the delicious flavors of maine.

Pale Ale
This Pale Ale is a complex hybrid between a West-Coast Pale Ale and a British-Style Pale Ale. An abundance of Cascade Hops gives this beer a citrusy, floral nose. A high percentage of Caramel Malt is used to provide a stark contrast to the hoppy front palate, giving our pale ale a smooth, malty finish.
