We luckily stumbled upon this place while passing through the tiny town of Damariscotta. The restaurant is located in the back of an old church building, facing the water so it’s not easy to spot initially. There are rustic picnic tables out back and a lovely view. I had the vegan Ruben sandwich and an amazing maple cream soda. My daughter ordered the vegan meatloaf. Everything was absolutely fresh & delicious and the service was quick and friendly. We met the owner, Grace, working in the small kitchen, turning out every dish with care. Definitely worth a visit, and every penny. PS We happened to be sitting right next to the guy who left the one star review and he ate (and seemingly enjoyed!) every bite.

The food was excellent, though the portions were small for the price. Ian was our thoughtful and attentive waiter.

We were out of town on a family vacation and stopped by this place after a fishing trip. The look reminds me of a basement apartment converted into a restaurant. It's quite cozy and charming with beautiful paintings on the wall. I was pleased with the vegetarian and gluten free options. The kids loved their grilled cheese and chocolate milk. I enjoyed my pea loaf, salad, roll and potatoes. We also had a delicious flan for dessert. I would say the portions are a bit small, other than that we enjoyed our meal. The chef even took a minute to chat with us. Nice!

This place makes Damariscotta feel like home. We can’t come this way without stopping by. Simple delicious and fresh food with paintings everywhere and a view of the water. Our fourth time here and we’re fast becoming regulars!

Saturday 5/15/2021 a friend, his dog, and I had lunch at the Savory Maine Dining and Provisions restaurant in Damariscotta, Maine. We sat outside overlooking the water. The owner waited on us. Our lunches were so wonderfully prepared and delicious. We had some food allergies which she managed without a blink. I had an 8 oz bowl of delicious fish chowder served with a gluten free biscuit just the right texture, taste, and size to crumble into my bowl of chowder. My companion ordered a simple salad of greens and chicken sausage and polenta that was beautifully prepared and outstanding. I followed up with maple syrup infused flan, light, delicate, savory and a cup of Yogi ginger tea. My friend's dog was offered a bowl of water upon our arrival and was content to look around and chew on her bone. Inside the restaurant, the owner had an art display and silent auction of art by local artist Polly Steadman. All monies raised go to Apifera Farm, a non profit adoption of elder and special needs animals located in Bremen, Maine.
Our lunch bill was 44 dollars which included a generous tip.

Grace provides top of the line service, with a heart of gold. The outdoor dining arrangement features a gorgeous view of the bay. The food is fresh and full of life! Sprouting with deep rooted compassion, and work ethic. I highly recommend enjoying a meal at Savory Maine Dining and Provisions, or stopping in for a friendly hello!

The most beautiful view for an outside lunch and a very sweet waitress. We had the haddock chowder and it was delicious.

Very nice! Simple, healthy ish good food. Really friendly folks. Maybe a tiny bit pricey but that's because the food is sourced locally and absolurely worth the cost. A+! I'll be back!

We didn't eat there but stayed in Grace's AirBnB room (the one on the first floor... I think she has 2?)... it was clean if small, but for a one night stay it was perfect, within walking distance of everything downtown. Grace also supplied us with the local paper, and all the necessties for morning coffee. Next time we're in Damariscotta, we will definitely eat here too (the menu looks great- we just already had other plans).

Doesn't get any fresher...
Stopped in between the usual lunch/dinner hours hoping that we could get served. The owner very nicely offered us both lunch and dinner menues to choose from. Our server overheard my wife and I talking about her not really liking the vegetable of the day. When a local farmer came in with the afternoon pickings, our server offered a vegi substitute fresh from the farm. That's fresh! Both of our meals were absolutely excellent...hands down. I could go on about the obviously high quality ingredients, the immaculately clean open concept kitchen, the expertly prepared food, etc. But...just show up and see for yourself. You'll be glad that you did.
