Everytime I come to Pacifica/HMB I stop here to bring a bunch of food home to Stockton. Their roast duck is really good. And pretty much everything I've tried there is good.
It was packed but that is to be expected on weekends and holidays. The barbecue pork and roast duck were excellent. Pretty good Cantonese fare, a bit on the pricey side.
We ordered a to-go of a full duck for $20,but all we got was bones. No breast, just two legs. What a scam. Though, the food was pretty good! Just really disappointed, and make sure to check your food before you leave.
Old school type of Cantonese eatery.... it offers a wide variety of food to choose from, good place to fill your stomach. It’s a casual spot for a quick meal, decent food but don’t expect to receive world class service or any unreal expectations.
The only thing I tried was pig kidney and liver porridge. However, it’s the best porridge I’ve ever had in years.
Come for the food, not the service then you wont have an issue.
Chinese porridge is inexpensive ($6 for small bowl) and makes a nice light lunch on a cold day (which is most days in Daly City). Some of the porridge flavors are bland; I wish they used more herbs or vegetables to add more flavor. You can get a Chinese donut ($3 in plenty for 2 people), but that's
